In 2012, Tall Bear recorded a 10 song home studio record with the engineering and production help of our friend David Bailey. The record only happened through the help of kickstarter and the support of our friends and family. A lot of life happened during and after the recording of this unreleased and unnamed record, and due to life, finances, logistics, and business decisions, we decided not to print this entire record on CDs, but to release it in parts and online instead. We released the We Are Ships EP in late 2012 which features remixed and remastered versions of the first three tracks off this unreleased record. A couple of the songs on the recording have already been released on soundcloud in some form or another. As a thank you to all those who have supported us and believed in us these past two years, we wanted to release these songs in their original form for free and for download. For the album art, I thought one of our passenger seat instagram photos would fit since I've always felt these songs sounded best when played during a long drive. I hope you all enjoy these songs. They mean a lot to me and come from a very honest place in my heart. If you've been coming to our live shows and are wondering about some songs that haven't yet been released and are not in the songs below or after doing some quick addition have realized the released tracks don't add up to 10, if that's you, THEN I'm pleased to tell you that we'll be coming out with an official release of those and other new songs on a recording that we are currently working on recording right now! It will be our first official release since the We Are Ships EP. We've been in the studio the past few weeks and will be for a few more to finish recording a group of songs that we couldn't be more proud of. I can't wait to share those with you in early 2014, along with new photos and much more new content. Please download these and share them as much as you'd like. And from the bottom of my heart and from the rest of Tall Bear, thank you so much for your love and support. We're so excited for what's to come in 2014 and to share with you new music and songs that have yet to be written.
