 My name is Bruce Talley the artist known as TALLEYBAN DA REBEL. Talleyban is just a small-town kid out of Dunjee, Ok. I came up in a single parent home which I shared with two siblings. Kathy is my mom, Bryan my oldest brother, and Destini my younger sister. My father name is Bruce. He wasn’t there in the beginning but throughout the years we matured and gained an unbreakable bond. My brother is one of the main reasons I found my passion in music. Growing up in a Dunjee was also a big influence in my passion. Its hard making a living in my neighborhood so poverty, gangs, and drugs was a huge issue. Tragedy struck my family on June 12, 1999. My brother was killed in a car accident not even three miles away from our home. After that, is when I really started writing music. I was 14 at the time so, I was a boy growing into a man. A couple of OG’s from my neighborhood had a group Called Spencer’s Finest. They took a liking to my freestyle one day hanging out and decide that i should get on a song with them which was a huge honor. I recorded my first record “TROUBLE” with the group Spencer’s Finest in 1999.
 

After graduating from Star Spencer High School in 2003, I wanted to keep pursuing school so I enrolled in Langston University. I attended for a year before I was blessed with a beautiful daughter name Braja in 2004. I made the decision to be there for my family and choose getting a trade would be better. Throughout the years, going through ups and downs with life I looked towards the streets for a way out. My cousin which I called my brother took me up under his wing.His name was Jerrell Simmons. During the time i was steady writing music and joined a group called GSC created wit my cousin Jerrod and a couple of friends I grew up from my neighborhood. On November 26, 2007, Jerrell was fatally killed in his home due to a home invasion lead by his children’s mother. With him being a major influence in my life it devistated me mentally.
With the courage of knowing how to survive on the streets i never let none of the obstacles take me under.  March 2009 I was convicted of my first charge of Possession of CDS. Every since then I knew what my purpose was. MUSIC. Thats when i really start investing to my craft. I was released from prison in December 2009. 


 2012 is when i dropped my first solo single “ DUMB WAY” featuring DJ Country Fresh. Knowing that becoming an up and coming artist it takes a lot of dedication, persistence, time and money. I just kept pushing knowing that I will become a successful artist doing what i love to do. In the fall of 2014 I was just doing my research on a local label called GRIND HARD RECORDS founded by John Thomas and found a home that embraced me with open arms. After that the rest is history. Its 2016 and Im blessed to be with a label still working on my passiom trying to become a successful artist. Im dropping my mixtape “ TALLEYBAN CHRONICLES VOLUME 1 fall 2016.
