The first single for the upcoming debut of new Indie Retropop artist Talley, "We Can't Stay" is a tribute and homage to The Cars 1984 album "Heartbeat City", done in a synthy, dreamy, expansive and fresh approach, with nostalgic nods to the past and long looks toward the future. The rest of the album has a large variety of influences and loving homages to music of all kinds; this one in particular is a love-letter to the mid-80's.

My tribute to the passing of Dolores O'Riordan, who died exactly one year ago today. Colorado Public Radio's "Open Air" played this on their station to start off their "Dearly Departed" series; I tried my best to honour this profound woman, who had a deep impact on me musically, with this tribute.

The second single for Talley's upcoming full-length debut, "Scared" is a driving, jumpy, upbeat banger juxtaposed by melancholic lyrics about the haunting dreams of a lost lover, and the ambiguous world of the singer's tension between fear of going to sleep because of the dreams haunted by the lost lover, and fear of waking up because they'll be gone once again.
