🎵 Der heutige KataHaifisch Podcast ist eine Kreation vom Schweizer DJ & Musikproduzent Matija. Sein Sound hört sich samtig organisch und geht spielerisch ins Ohr. Die Übergänge sind fließend und das gesamte Set aus einem ganzheitlichen Guss. Dieses handwerkliche Geschick resultiert aus jahrelanger Produktions-, DJ- und Bühnenerfahrung. Vor über 25 Jahren tauchte Matija in die farbenfrohe Welt der elektronischen Musik. Seitdem bespielte und bereiste er unzählige Clubs, Festivals & Orten dieser Welt.

When the first rays of the morning sun pierce through the fog, when dancers follow the beat of their own glowing heart as much as the music, when distance and past and future are but memories melting into an inner landscape, we listen to music differently.

It is these magic hours that come to mind, while submerging into Leni’s journey into the deep. During the last seven years Leipzig-based Hannes has been touring around Europe and beyond, playing countless DJ sets at renowned clubs and festivals under different monikers.

He's made a name for himself as Nikolas Noam and with his techno project GYRL which has shaped down-tempo club music for years to come.

Under his JOIA persona he is continuing this legacy, albeit with a more musical edge to his productions and a simplified approach.
JOIA is happy when he can make beats and work on harmonies at home in his studio, because that's where he's most comfortable.

When he's out playing DJ sets, however, he's known to gather large crowds with bass-heavy downbeats delivered against a melancholic and harmonic backdrop.

With JOIA Hannes is always trying to stick to what's most important in any from of art - a simple idea, well executed.

✔️ Was sind eure musikalischen Einflüsse? 

Wir sind Beide von klein auf musikalisch durch unser Elternhaus geprägt.
Dazu legt éner seit knapp 20 Jahren Vinyl auf und Stelze spielt seit Klein auf Saxofon in verschieden Combos und ist mittlerweile seit 15 Jahren an den Decks.
Wir sind absolute Musik Fanten, etliche Künstler/innen und unterschiedlichste Musikstile prägten uns auf unserer Laufbahn. So viele , dass wir sie hier nicht alle benennen können.

✔️ Was macht eurer Meinung nach her eine gute Afterhour aus?

Freunde, Gemütlichkeit und Sets aus den Faultierdisko bzw Deep&Smooth Podcast Serien :)
….Außerdem, irgendwann ist auch mal Feierabend! Faultiere schlafen gern! :D

✔️ Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns zu eurem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Wir erinnern uns gerne an die schönste Afterhour, die wir gemeinsam erlebt haben. Es war éners Geburtstag und wir spielten das Closing Set im Mensch Meier bei Mytic Creatures.
Eine Wahnsinns Stimmung, Sonnenlicht flutete den Floor, eine magisch Energy! Wir spielten das erste Mal b2b und merkten wie gut wir an den Decks harmonierten.
Auch unser Afterhour Sounds Set wurde von aus abwechselnd erlesenen Lieblings-Tracks b2b im Studio des JAZ e.V. Rostock abgemischt.
