This set was recorded at Kosmozoo at Saturday afternoon/evening. Big thank you to the people at Kosmozoo, especially Michel <3. Parts of it were also played at Mirage on Saturday morning. 
With this set I tried to capture the emotional rollercoaster that is a burn and especially Nowhere for me.

Er hob den Blick zur Sonne, 
hielt sich die Hand über die Augen und kniff sie zusammen. Er nahm einen tiefen Atemzug staubig trockener Luft. Langsam drehte er seinen Kopf und verschaffte sich einen Überblick über die Lage.
Er stand auf einer flachen Erhebung, umgeben von Sand. 
Weit und breit nur Sand. Wo er auch hinsah nur diese kleinen verfluchten glatt geschliffenen Körner.
Er seufzte und begann damit seine Habseligkeiten aufzusammeln. Feinsäuberlich rollte er sein Zelt zusammen, wusch das Kochgeschirr vom Frühstück und schnallte sich seinen Krumsäbel wieder an den Gürtel.
Anschließend füllte er seinem Reittier, einem persischen Kriegselefanten, etwas Wasser in dessen Trinkschale. Sein treuer Freund musste schnellstmöglich wieder zu Kräften kommen. 
Denn ihr weg nach Akkon war noch weit und würde sie weitere dutzende Meilen durch die Wüste führen ...

Around the fall, witches are associated with spooky Halloween. However I found a special witch who had a different story to tell, one that doesn't involve flying on brooms, spooky cauldrons and screeching cackles in the night. 

I invited her to join my LOST series to tell a specific story close to her heart. This mix is meant to represent the life of her great-grandfather, who had the misfortune to be involved as a soldier in The First World War, spending the full duration of the war in the trenches of the far West of Flanders, separated from his family who lived in occupied Belgium on the other side of the front line. I have no idea what kind of horrors he went through, but fighting was fierce in Flanders Fields and I know that he got seriously wounded twice. Luckily he survived the war and became a strong anti-war advocate later in life. 

This podcast is not about the war itself, but about the slow and painstaking return to a peaceful life. The first half of this mix is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, with the dark shadows of the war still lurking everywhere. The second half is completely different, very peaceful and full of bliss…

" Ahoy! I'm living at the baltic sea coast in germany and since my childhood i'm playing the saxophone in several live combos. But a decade ago I also fell in love with electronic music. Thanks for finding the second mix in the series of ‘In-Too-Deep’ .  This one travels from my great friend Perry, residing somewhere in deepest Guatemala, to myself in a little studio in wonderful leafy Surrey in the UK…  then departs once again back to Guatemala.. so is a mix of three halves !

I remember back to 2016 when I first started really getting in to the downtempo scene and the wonderful community following and partaking in it, there were a bunch of DJ’s and producers that really stood out.  It was them that inadvertently guided me into the resurrection of my own DJ’ing career 😊
One of those DJ’s was Perry.  I remember hearing one of his sets and it just blowing me away.., from then on I became an avid follower listening to everything he released.., and still do.

It is such an honor for me to take part in this collaboration with Perry, in fact it feels a little surreal.. and I certainly hugely enjoyed the experience.

So.. as with the previous mix in this series,  we have attempted to create a coherent set as if we standing side by side in a venue.. although we have possibly made this one unique in that Perry has taken care of the first and third parts, with myself doing the middle section.  Again, if were to be successful in our venture – the whole thing would hopefully sound seamless !
