For the 1 Year anniversary for "Then You Come Around" I made this little acoustic version for you all 💕

This track is super special to me for various reasons. Being my first release is one of them but also because this was my first track that I was not super anxious and stressed about in terms of total mix, tonal balance, processing and feel. Listening to it today still gives me a smile even though I can hear many things I would want to redo but as they say 'If not broken don't fix it"

There is a great deal of how this all came together, the why and how would both be equally important. 

Out of desperation and constant disappointment from others in every aspect pushed me to a dark place where I genuinely thought nobody commits or delivers anymore. 
So I have decide to get me and myself in a room and work tirelessly to create something peaceful, something intimate that others like yourself going through hard times can just enjoy. A simple break from reality and hopefully some peace and contentment within. 

I have drawn and drawn pictures after pictures to create my “perfect” vocalists to perform in this very first episode of “private room” and the result is Jay, Scarlett, Jono and Leilah. All of whom represent someone that is or have been greatly influential in my journey so far. 

With the help of technology I have created and trained all my 4, first generation AI vocalists, to come alive and be part of a hopefully much much bigger ensemble in the future. The amount of failures have been incredible whilst trying to create this but this time I had only myself to push!!

Private Room 2

SOOO! New year new music..this has been sitting in my 'not worth to release' folder for over a year. The struggle was to find find someone to do my rap verses. I couldn't for so long for many many reasons so ended up doing it myself.....That's probably the reason why i think it was not worth the release, i do not particularly like my voice or my accent to start with and i am not a rapper by a long shot...but now you can decide if you like it or nah pass.

The song is about a man reflecting on his past mistakes, regrets, and emotional struggles that caused the breakdown of a deep and meaningful relationship. He acknowledges how he lost himself over time, letting fear, ego, and pride push away the person he loved most. Despite his failures, he recognizes that his strength always came from that connection and now longs for a chance to rebuild what was broken. The lyrics convey themes of self-doubt, redemption, and the hope of rekindling lost love if given another chance.

Synergy

I feel like my musical style has evolved significantly over the past few years. I find myself creating less electronic music and leaning more toward vocal-driven pop. With that in mind, here’s my second pop release, Lost in the Silence.

This track has undergone more changes in the past few months than any other I’ve written. It originally featured a stunning vocal from Hye, but unfortunately, I only had one recorded verse and couldn’t complete the second verse and chorus as planned. The production and lyrics took a long time to develop, yet every time I listen, I still get that wow feeling.

Lost in the Silence

“Lost in the Silence (Acoustic Version)” is my stripped-back take on the original—just a few of my favourite instruments like piano and strings topped with some basic drums, and the quiet space in between. I wanted to capture that feeling of being alone with your thoughts, when silence becomes its own kind of melody. This version is raw, honest, and closer to the heart of what the song really means to me.

Another little gem for you all, 'Wrong Felt Right' one of my personal favourite, has such a good vibe to it. Drums inspired by Fred's - Delilah, can't tell I listen to him alot......Story is pretty straight forward and I am sure you have all been through a rough relationship where you get lost in the dark and make it hard for no reason. Follow up to my track 'Lost in the silence' somehow i got inspired to do something else. I don't think i spent much time on this track, it just worked in every aspect. Sample selection from the kick to the guitar just happened so naturally and having the vocals sang so bloody well by Zayden is just beyond wow. I hope you enjoy this piece, i have had it on private for 28 days now kept listening trying to find a fault but could not.

Wrote this one late at night when I couldn’t shake a certain feeling — like I was standing between who I used to be and who I’m trying to become after losing someone very close. The lyrics came out raw, almost too real, but I kept them that way. Didn’t overthink the production either… piano, strings, a few touches here and there — it just felt right. Kai’s vocals hit this delicate balance I didn’t even know I needed until I heard it back.

This one sat on private for weeks while I tried to pull it apart, but I couldn’t bring myself to change a thing. It's not perfect, but it’s honest — and maybe that’s the point. Hope it finds the ones who need it.

This one hits deep. The sax? It's not just a vibe it carries the entire track. Nostalgic, modern, raw… it’s all in there.
The lyrics come straight from my personal struggles, and I’m almost certain they’ll hit home for you too.
Only a handful of instruments were used. The drum group is the barest I’ve ever written but somehow, it just works.
And Lian’s vocals? Unreal. Like out-of-this-world FIRE.
This took about 4 weeks to fine-tune, word by word. Every line matters.

3 years later when i first released 'Then You Come Around' still tops my favourite song. I have had so much difficulty mixing, mastering, songs sounding absolute garbage and then you come around just was good. Still don't know if it was just luck or knowledge, but i surely use the song as a 'preset' for the rest that came...even in my songs 3 years later. So to celebrate its release I am going to treat you with a brand new stripped down version. 'Then You Come Around' has always been one of those songs that feels even more alive when it’s raw and unplugged in my opinion. This is my 2025 take on it, recorded straight from the heart. Hope it finds the right ears.

Summer is around the corner here in Brisbane, and ever since this vocal sat on my hard drive I knew there was only one style that could do it justice. Kygo made tropical house a gem, and this is my take on it with my own twist. The intro was originally meant to be a piano lead, but after accidentally losing the preset and swapping it for guitar, it just clicked. Now it feels almost nostalgically sad like it was always meant to be this way. 🌴✨

I play, I write, I produce, and lately more often than not I rely on and build my own unique vocalists with their beautiful voice from scratch, word by word, with the help of AI. Not because I want to replace the human side of music, but because I’m fascinated by how technology can give new life to an idea that starts in the heart.

I’ve spent years moving between worlds from ghostwriting tracks in different genres, to creating pieces for movies and soundtracks, to my own series Private Room where I bring piano and violin to the forefront. Every project is different, but at the core, it’s always the same: I want the music to feel real, to mean something, to stay with you after the last note fades.
