Since 2011, he has made his mark on imprints from the likes of Rejected, Leena, Cecille, and most recently, on Saved with his current hit, "Let It Go". Now, London based Tech House DJ and producer, Ross Evans, delivers a fresh sound on Mobilee Records with the release of his two-sider, "Deep Water", wrapping up the Summer 2014 pool season as we know it. Touring Europe on Carl Craig's side, his name may ring a few bells, but Evans is more than a sidekick. His upbeat and deep piece, "Part Of The Dream" was featured in the November 2013 edition of Nic Fanciulli Presents Worldwide Sounds while "Let It Go" was the 36th most charted track in July 2014 by Resident Advisor DJs.
On a more familiar note, Evans made a splash at the Mobilee Pool party series at Hotel Santos Beach Club in Ibiza this summer while his two-tracker brilliantly worked its way to becoming mobilee's 136 release. The A-side presents "Deep Water" featuring the lovely AYA while "Tonic" is written all over the B-side.

Crysta Patterson and Voiski aka Kartei have hooked up only once before, putting out a well received 12” on W.T. Records back in 2011. That was Patterson’s only project to date, but Voiski has been active for years, working under a number of aliases and releasing on labels like Field, L.I.E.S. and Syncrophone. The duo started their cyber technopop act in 2007, performing contextual actions on more alternative scenes. Their working ethos is based on collecting data from the internet to create new material. Data and songs are preserved into their server systematically. 

The album they serve up here is a condensed compilation of their archive, which can be described as clean and melodic, subtly uplifting and calls on classic techno as well as plenty of futuristic ideals. Grooves are quick and slick, synths are well crafted and emotive and everything is underpinned by a motor kick that powers the album along. Tracks like the bubbly ’Sunset’ make for moments of calmer reflection between more trip out kickers like ‘Kartei gets Fat’. New wave vocals and sombre chords, bleepy melodies and celestial pads also feature throughout this album, and all in all adds up to a terrifically journeying album of fresh electronic sounds.

Hailing from its mothership label Circus Recordings, Yousef resurfaces his supplementary outlet Carioca Records with a much more musical approach. Unlike Circus, Carioca is designed to be less of a reflection of Yousef’s dj sets, but rather opening up a wider musical latitude, offering an opportunity to release more hypnotic house and techno, not always aimed the djs, but instead the music enthusiast.

Next on the label, is one of the fastest rising Producers at the moment is the elusive SevenDoors. A passion for music is evident, carefully crafting audio with feeling and emotion. SevenDoors is very much a concept, developed over many years and now ready to be unleashed upon the dance community.

His track ’Movement Of Whale’ (out on Diynamic) was among the Top 10 Tunes at Sankeys Ibiza for the last season. Solomun has been playing it the last year in nearly every set of his and it was the most talked about track of his Boilerrom Set during BPM in Tulum, Mexico. SevenDoor’s music has already been playlisted by Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Toddla T on BBC Radio 1 and rinsed by DJs such as Solomun, Scuba, AME, Gardens Of God and Adriatique to mention a few.

After remixes for Icarus on FFRR, Adana Twins & Claptone on Exploited, Simon Doty on Rhetorical, plus original tracks on Diynamic, Get Physical, Eklektisch, Exploited Ghetto and Exploited, he has more original tracks, one free EP plus several remixes - one of them for Nils Penner on Musica Autonomica - in the pipeline.

Michael Mayer's new album '&' sees him collaborate with some of the planet's leading musicians and of course a whole lot of friends. The 12 track LP features tracks with Roman Flügel, Agoria, Kölsch​, Miss Kittin and Barnt. His collaboration with Barnt is a trippy, majestic number that's drenched in voodoo tones and there's now a remix package to accompany the track.

Patrice Baumel has put his own spin on 'Und Da Stehen Fremde Menschen​' but here we concentrate on UK favourite, Kowton's edit. As expected the Livity Sound don has stripped everything back and turned the suspense into structure, with steely tones and a demonic 4/4 running through its core.

Dutch producer Bas Bron aka Fatima Yamaha has been hammering out quality releases under numerous aliases for more than a decade now. Nevertheless it wasn’t until the 2015 re-issuing of his fourteen-year-old track ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ on Dekmantel Records, that his gush into the underground forefront has now exhilarated his unique talent. Fatima Yamaha starts of the 2017 year of Dekmantel Records with his second EP for the Amsterdam label and ‘Araya’ promises to be a worthy successor of his 2015 success.

The title track ‘Araya’ is the absolute eye catcher of this EP. Already tested in Fatima Yamaha’s highly anticipated live-sets in the last months, with great response, ‘Araya’ is a dramatic curtain raiser that only he can make. Next to that, Bron effectively spills his keen ear for melody on the A-side with his typical electro-funk with ‘Piayes Beach Bar And Grill’. On the flip crystalline synth drops, a classic piano and skipping drums are the main ingredients for ‘Romantic Bureaucracy’.

Tresor’s newest release features BNJMN on Body Reflections Pt. 1. The four track EP captures a uniquely subdued mood that resides at the nexus of ambient dance music, and that integrates seamlessly with Tresor’s penchant for restrained and dub-inflected techno.

Each track on the EP introduces symmetry and rhythm in the form of organic percussion. “Overskies" and “Enceladus" are more lethargic and ethereal, each blanketed with discordant melodies and arcing synth lines. "Hadal Zone" is more dance-oriented - here, a sophisticated interplay of percussive elements loop over plaintive vocals and soft harmonies. “Syzygy" then brings the EP to a techno-focused close with driving kicks, oscillating synths, and repeating minor chords.

Body Reflections Pt. 1 is deeply illustrative of BNJMN’s affinity for creating nuanced and delicately balanced layers, and a culmination of his vast experience.
