Last Steam Engine Train

Mein wohl (immer noch "bekanntester") Song und instantaner Damm- und Darm-Durchbruch als fetziger und überraschen druckvoller Opener des 1995er Fürstenfeldbrucker SUBKULTUR-Sampler. 

Da hier ausnahmsweise mal - was so gut wie nie vorkam! - zuerst die Musik fertig war, mir aber - was noch viel seltener vorkam! -  auf teufelkommraus einfach keine passender Text einfallen wollte, zitierte ich kurzer Hand - was ich noch nie gemacht hatte! - Passagen aus Max Frischs Roman "Stiller", den wir gerade im Deutsch-LK behandelten ... und siehe da: GODZILLA? HURRA!

Erste Veröffentlichung und Studio-Aufnahme überhaupt und laut meiner Eltern "das einzige Lied von dir, das man sich anhören kann"  (.. leider auch das einzige, welches sie kennen, ignorante Bruchzopiloten!)

Aus purem Heimweh und Nostalgie (und, ääh ... Einfallslosigkeit) nahm ich dann den STILLER während meines Schulpraktikums 1996/97 in Paris/Frankreich mit dem inzwischen legendären Fostex-4Spur-Gerät einfach ... NOCHMAL auf! Akustisch, nur Ovation, reduced-to-the-max eben ... ist dafür gar nicht mal schlecht geraten, oder? Mais écoutez vous-mêmes ... !

No Leaf Clover

I saw The Great One in concert last night, and he played this on his 6 string at a much slower tempo than he has done in the past. I can't play this very fast, so it worked out well. He did some improvisation which I didn't think added terribly to the song. There are several squeakers in this, but I've practicing it all afternoon and I'm kind of tired of it, which is just one of the many reasons I could never be a professional. 

Busted Bicycle (Leo Kottke cover)

Back in the early '70s, Leo Kottke was a huge influence on me, as I was learning how to play fingerstyle acoustic guitar.  'Stealing' is my somewhat clumsy interpretation of his version from the Mudlark album.  Played on my first Martin guitar...a 1975 D-35 with shaded top (pictured).  Wish I still had that beauty!

i think "ojo" means "eye spell" in that most romantic of languages(maybe), spanish; her eyes changed color from indica to sativa(light to dark green) and back again - i've never seen anything so beautiful(silmarills)!!!
