At the moment, the artist lives in northern Norway, where he and other co-minded people support the movement of the electronic scene. Music plays a vital role in the life of Pijãr. It pushes forward both, his personal goals and various projects in Europe. Together with music-loving people, he is developing projects such as Tamsioji Pusė, Monument, and DJ collective Behind The River. For the past year, the artist has been in various festivals, playing in Norwegian pubs, closed parties, and in his beloved nature, thus gaining musical and educational experience.

Born and based in Klaipeda, a city on the coast of Lithuania, JON (Jonas Raudonius) has been producing music for modern theatre performances, performing as a DJ and releasing music on several techno labels including the Marseille-based Solid Shape imprint and, more recently, the Lithuanian label Static Motion.
This mix is compiled on behalf of Black Wave, a collective focus on deep and hypnotic sea-side techno culture which he founded, known for organizing events and curating a podcast series.
According to him, mixing is no less a creative process than production. Combining individual works into a whole, and conveying it to listeners, defining specific performer ideas is a true modern expression of art.

Thoughtfully layered sound palette solidifying sharp and steady sustained tones, rising above analogue heft. Dissonant blurs of gently wavering stems twisted in a weightless vase - lubricious ties between palpable delicacy and vibrating allure.

 Jonas Raudonius comes from Klaipėda, Lithuania and is a member of the Black Wave collective, a series of podcasts and events dedicated to deep and hypnotic techno. On the contrary, his musical works are featured in theatrical performances & he is a part of the latest compilation on Amulet of Tears.

Mix 73 is a very special treat from the Italian duo Plants Army Revolver, formed in 2014 by Birgan Valentin and Marco Ragni. Their refined ability to craft organic and analog soundscapes has captured the attention of the scene's most lauded outlets, including recent live sets for Hypnus & Inveins, and a just-released EP "Yguana" on Shifted's Avian label. Far from content to rest on their creative laurels, the pair have recorded a unique live set for our series, one which unfolds beautifully from beginning to end and provides a precious glimpse into their studio process.

JON / Jonas Raudonius heard the first shouts of music in his childhood. Even without learning how to speak or write properly, he was already learning how to listen, analyze, and put together music in his mind. Nowadays taking up the role of a sound director in the theatre and ever more consistent development of Jon's project only reinforces the importance of music in this guy's life. It is true that the performer would like to divide his free time during the day differently, as activities with the Black Wave and minimal.lt teams take time out of the creative processes. The Baltic Sea always inspires creative ideas, looking beyond the horizon so mysterious, emotional and soothing as if it is defining parallels to Jon's sound. According to him, mixing is no less a creative process than production. Combining individual works into a whole, and conveying it to listeners, defining specific performer ideas is a true modern expression of art.

Seeing as much of the world as possible and sharing music along the way is one of the artist's biggest dreams. Jonas is pleased that over the years Lithuanian listeners are becoming more open to more diverse electronic music. In this selection, the performer divided his mix into two parts. The first part is inspired by the performance of "Master," a melancholy ambient/drone sound that reflects the aura of a live performance in the theatre. The second is Jon's more-usual version: the deep, hypnotic techno that the performer usually presents at parties. People crave diversity and new sounds, just what this SFM # 069 selection and the ambitious Jon have to offer.

Jon/Jonas Raudonius – pirmuosius muzikos šūksnius išgirdo dar vaikystėje. Net neišmokęs deramai kalbėti ar rašyti, jau mokinosi klausytis, analizuoti ir mintyse dėlioti muzika. Šiuo metu užimamos garso režisieriaus pareigos teatre ir vis nuoseklesnis Jon projekto vįstimas, tik sustiprina muzikos reikšmę vaikino gyvenime. Tiesa, atlikėjas savo laisvas dienos valandas norėtų padalinti kitaip, nes veikla Black Wave ir minimal.lt komandose atima laiko iš kūrybinių procesų. Idėjų kūrybai visada įkvepia Baltijos jūra, žvelgiant už horizonto tokia paslaptinga, emocionali bei raminanti, tarsi tai būtų apibrėžtos paralelės į Jon skambesį. Anot jo – miksavimas yra ne mažiau kūrybingas procesas negu prodiusavimas. Atskirus kūrinius sujungti į visumą, ir tai perteikti klausytojams, apibrėžiant konkrečias atlikėjo idėjas yra tikra moderni meno išraiška.

Pamatyti kuo daugiau pasaulio ir šio nuotykio kelyje dalintis muziką yra viena didžiausių atlikėjo svajonių. Jonas džiaugiasi, jog bėgant metams Lietuvos klausytojai tampa vis atviresni įvairesnei elektroninei muzikai. Šioje selekcijoje atlikėjas padalino savo miksą į dvi dalis. Pirmoji dalis įkvėpta spektaklio "Meistras", melancholiški ambient/drone skambesiai, atspindintis gyvo pasirodymo teatre aurą. Antroji – mūsų dažniau girdima JON versija: gilus, hipnotizuojantis techno, kurį atlikėjas dažniausiai ir pristato vakarėliuose. Žmonės trokšta įvairovės ir naujų skambesių, būtent tai su šia SFM #069 selekcija ir gali pasiūlyti ambicingasis Jon.
