Tane found his passion and love for music at the age of 16. Though a combination of talent and hard work, he was able to force his way into the Club scene in Pietermaritzburg due to his versatility on the decks.
As an upcoming DJ he started getting involved in organizing his own events as a marketing strategy. He was gigging almost every weekend, playing at private High School house parties across Kwazulu-Natal. As his brand in Kwazulu-Natal started to grow, he started getting well acquainted with top DJs in Pietermaritzburg and would be invited to play as an opening DJ at big events.
In 2010 he teamed up with his best mates Sizo, F_Easy and Masi to form a DJing Duo known as “Monk Prod”. We were able to keep a crowd on the dance floor, due to our style and energy on the decks. We were well known for throwing a massive party where they had the likes of G-Funk, Spindoctor, Fa1, ManLiza, and Wonder_Dj on the decks. 
Tane has secured some big gigs in Kwazulu-Natal. He has also showcased his mixing skills at venues such as: Murmur Night Club, Madlulas Place, Club 604, Rockafellas, Sprytz and Joe Cools.
