Space Jam

Tangent is based on the south coast of NSW, Australia, surrounded by beautiful woodlands and pristine beaches, the perfect environment for the rich musical blend of this unique quartet.
  The name Tangent is a good clue to the style of music which flows from the ambience of funk, sometimes trance-like instrumentals and vocal arrangements, all tied together by a strong bass line with jazz overtones.
  The band is unique in its construction of pure tonal qualities as it incorporates two percussionists, providing a  strong, complex and tribal rhythmic core on which is layered flutes, kalimba, guitars and sparse vocals with an occasional backdrop of warm orchestral synthetic sound.
  Tangent delivers all original compositions with an eclectic variety of soundscapes both positive and profoundly elemental in  nature.
