"As the midwest's self proclaimed biggest Genesis fan, there once was the pipe dream of doing an entire album of just covering their music,  but why waste time and skill on what could be construed as a fool's endeavor?  Instead, I narrowed it down to the one song they wrote that I've wanted to cover and put my own spin on for longer than I can remember: the opening track to their eponymous 1983 hit record. 
   I've spent many years conceiving and plotting the little nuances that would ultimately come to fruition in this recording.  I can't thank the other half of this project, Josh Klemp, enough for bearing with all my little 'must-haves' and 'wouldn't-it-be-cool-ifs' throughout this several-month-long process.
