Hazel

L.A. duo TANGIENTS is a two-sided enigma, a dichotomy, a shadow and its reflection. Maybe they have something to prove. Maybe they can’t decide if they’re a modern day post-punk outfit or early-80s-inspired shoegaze dreamscape weavers. Maybe it doesn’t matter, because it hits.

Chelsea Ray’s intense, yet dream-like vocals can pierce as well as float over multi-instrumentalist Be Hussey’s thick wall of sonics. Hussey is a producer with vast recording and touring experience (GUIDES, Radar Bros.). Paired with Ray’s “mystifying voice [that] has that haunting Björk timbre” (Turn Up The Volume), TANGIENTS is “ethereal bliss at its finest” (Magnetic Magazine).
