Jason Haze on drummy drums. This man is a legend in the making. A class act. A fellow left hander. I love him. He knows this. He graced my plebeian presence with his professional heir to the throne. He's like if Travis Barker and J-Dilla had a baby.

Brian Sauerwald on the big boy bass. He's not even a bass player. He's an artist. He's a singer. He's literally a better singer than me. He will be famous one day. He's moving away. I'm so glad he played on this track. Brian if you're reading this, don't move. Stay here with me.

Scott Stubbs (literal legend of life (vibes)) on the tenor and bari sax. I learn something about life every-time this wizard graces my presence. He's a wizard, Harry. He makes wine for a living, and then continues to sit in with every musician in town on the coolest instruments one can play. He plays lap steel. He plays big man sax. He plays little man sax. He plays bass. He taught me about the upright bass I have. He's a leather bound book. I'm just a pamphlet. I digress.

I wrote this song in a song-writing class. It's about trying to stay on top of your to-do list, feeling overwhelmed, and staying optimistic.

This is a collaboration between my brother Mason Carlton and me.
It's an 80s inspired dance-rock song that I got the idea for after an 80s party at my buddies' restaurant / bar.

Between the Lines

I demoed it a couple of times with the band, but it just never happened. When the band broke up, I tabled it for a while. So now I’ve been working on “As Long As I’m With You” for two years, and it’s finally coming out!
