The year is 2011. Joy O just released Sicko Cell on Swamp 81, and his debut record Hyph Mngo has been doing the rounds for 2 years now. No one’s really clocked that Ramadanman is in fact Pearson Sound yet, and Boiler Room is in its infancy. Playing live from a dingy house somewhere in London, with Ben UFO and Oneman blurting out of your tinny laptop speakers, you and friends crowd round religiously each week, watching in awe, as the big smokes underground dance music scene is streamed directly into your own home.

Nobody could know its impact just yet, but a new musical undercurrent is bubbling beneath the surface, and is set to change the landscape of the UK underground dance music scene for the next decade and beyond. Someone at your college eagerly mentions Dubstep, Future Garage, FWD and Plastic People, but these buzzwords likely mean little to you at this point. Everything is still so new. A journey yet to be had. But one that will in fact collectively inspire thousands of other teens and young adults across the UK and beyond for many years to come.

Join voices resident Tanner on his nostalgia laced show this month, where he bridges the gap between the last two decades of UK Bass. Through tracks old and new, expect currents artist releases to rub shoulders with some of the scenes most loved tracks, as he pays homage to the roots of his passion for 4x4 music.
