A New Year - a new project : ) 
Grundomma is myself and my brother Glenn Ward. Its been a few years since we actively made music together...but now seems like a good a time as any. We live a few 1000 kms apart across Australia so this a file swapping exercise. The first track "Flying" features Glenn on rhythm programming, synths and sampling and yours truly on Basses and glitchy noise stuff.. this will no doubt change with each future track. London-based band, Idle Youth release their next single Disconnect, an energetic yet chilled synth pop song that spans new wave, post punk and all things 80’s, whilst remaining present day. Mastered By legendary engineer Noel Summerville, Disconnect lyrically discusses our over-reliance on technology and it’s inevitable knock on effects to our relationships with the world. 

Inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevski’s ‘The Brothers Karamazov’, questions of reality and free will are questioned. A dream pop feel runs ever present through the song, musically and lyrically.

This tune began with just the upright bass (played on keyboard) & flute part (played with real flute), that were inspired by an old song that Mark liked a lot by an English Jazz trio called The Herbaliser.  Once he had it in progress, he asked me & Chris to see if we could contribute.

I added the trippy high pitch reverse guitar effect, and the bluesy lead guitar in the middle section (thus the title, Blue In The Middle). And Chris added some delightful atmospheric guitar and effects, as well as the Portishead influenced drum track. Mark was then inspired to add the background echo guitar sound in the middle section, and a bit of percussion and minor sound effects. 

Then Mark laid a really fine mix on it and I did the final mastering.  I'm glad Mark brought me in on this one, I really enjoy the ambience of it.

Brau is an Alternative Rock solo project created by David Gabriel in the summer of 2012' .

Beginning of 2015 I released in Bandcamp  two EP's,  "BRAU" and "Time is a Circle", plus one album "LEVEL 3 Seduction".

After five years,  in October 2020 I published in bandcamp & SoundCloud two new albums, "Golden Apples" and "Lightball" .

BRAU was the name of my dog when I was a child .
