Bassuha Techno 🎸🌋

Double Sound² presents the 12th podcast from the Moscow-based techno duo Poima. The duo consists of two producers: Alexander Lestyukhin and Semen Caspian Kid. Poima's distinctive feature is their live acts using analog synths.

2014 marked the starting point for Poima. They played their first live acts at Moscow clubs Solyanka and Arma17. This was followed by performances at Outline, as well as at the Superslet festival during the season closing of the Street Art Museum in Saint Petersburg. As a result, Poima was invited to perform at Boiler Room Moscow (http://boilerroom.tv/recording/poima/).

Poima's music is analog techno, characterized by the frequent repetition of structural elements, the use of synths, improvisation during live acts, and originality in their creations. Poima has managed to bring new ideas to techno music. Without a doubt, techno is being reborn in Russia, and Poima is a vivid example of this.

Completing the trilogy of releases in collusion with graphic artist Oliver Sperl, the Belgian techno producer finishes off with a 4-track dark experiment of audio-visual harmony, complete with blasting industrial beats and doom-metal growls. Today we present the B1 track, “Evil Disorder” which is a more atmospheric take on the sinister mood of the EP, and dives deep in to a world of cold steel, clashing metals and an alien sound which haunts for days.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere two new tracks off the forthcoming v/a compilation, Strangers in their own world. This marks the first release from Montreal’s MFC Records and founder and curator BitterCaress delivers six tracks of killer techno from a diverse group of producers. The general theme of the release is, Strangers in their own world - a manifesto to raise awareness about Human Rights. Each artist produced a track related to this concept and each track is aimed at human rights cause near and dear to the producer’s heart. Further, all proceeds from the compilation will be donated to the NAACP, whose goal is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.

Today we premiere two off the release - first up is KORVN’s cinematic, light speed journey “Street Strangers” followed by the menacing, acid laced cut from Unerledigt titled “Vision of Tomorrow”.
