‘Klein, aber oho!’ Und vor allem laut. Oder wie sagt man das? 
Wie dem auch sei, sicher ist Gloria Glanz gehört zu den aufgeweckten und lebensfrohen Frauen der Szene. Das merkt man nicht nur beim hören ihrer Sets und auf ihren Gigs, sondern vorallem, wenn man die Gelegenheit hat ihr persönlich zu begegnen. Als Energiebündel hat sie zudem das Herz an der richtigen Stelle; und so groß es ist schlägt es nicht nur für die Musik allein, auch wenn sie einer der wichtigsten Punkte in ihrem Leben ist und es vermutlich immer sein wird. Für uns hat sie ein sehr verspieltes und abwechslungsreiches Set zusammengestellt, das wir für unseren Podcast Nummer 32 auserkoren haben.

Freak durchläuft die klassische DJ-Laufbahn: Ein junger Mann mit dem hübschen Namen Philipp erbt 1999 Plattenspieler und zwei Techno-Scheiben, findet Gefallen am Mixen und schmiedet den schamlosen Plan, die Welt zu erobern. Das Lehrlingsgeld wird fortan in Vinyl investiert, Len Faki und Dave Clarke stehen ganz oben auf der Wunschliste. Strebsam vertieft er nicht nur seine Kenntnisse in der Musik, sondern baut seine Fertigkeiten an den Decks immer weiter aus.

Als Freak de Philipè bespielte er erstmals auf kleinen und privaten Partys das Publikum, macht sich schnell einen Namen unter dem feiernden und begeisterten Volk und rückt im Line up immer häufiger neben die Größen des Techno. Obwohl nie ganz klar ist, wie man Freak de Philipè eigentlich schreibt – auch Philipp nicht – passt das Pseudonym: Der Junge und seine Sets stecken voller raumgreifender, kribbeliger Energie. Soviel, dass er sie schließlich auf zwei Aka’s verteilen muss: Constantine Koch erblickt das Licht der Welt. 

Als Constantine lebt Philipp seine Vorliebe für etwas weniger verrückten, weniger „brutalen“, zwar immer noch minimalen aber auch mal geschwungen schönen Sound aus. Eine etwas zurückhaltendere Art, letztlich doch wieder zur Ekstase zu gelangen. Und irgendwie lugt der Freak dann doch immer auch um die Ecke.

Philipp ist Mitbegründer der Hard&Smart-Crew, die seit Jahren Techno-Acts mit Rang und Namen ins mitteldeutsche Niemandsland lockt, hat diverse Nebenprojekte mit befreundeten DJs und Musikern am Laufen, organisiert Partys und hebt auch gerne mal kleine Clubs mit aus der Taufe. Hierzu gehören unter anderem das Austin/Leipzig und die Sparte 13/Naumburg.
