It seems that the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the most important event in the world concerning our style of electronic music, is finally back in full force this year after the pandemic. And of course, Chrom is more than ready for it with our annual ADE Sampler ànd a label showcase on Saturday 22th October!

On the ADE2022 release called "Amsterdam 2022" we present once again some of our talents to the world with 11 brand-new exclusive tracks, covering the full spectrum from Progressive House and Indie Dance to Melodic House and Techno. We have many familiar Chrom artists on board for this compilation: label manager Pedro Mercado teaming up for the first time with JG Outsider, Fernando Lagreca, Qarrassa, Alex Sharp, Opera Omnia, Valen Frando, and Shemsu in collaboration with DAVIDEE. And they introduce also some new faces: SLP from Hungary, Elle Jae from New Zealand, Schön and Sturm from Germany and Greg Siokos from Greece.

This must have been one of the biggest tracks in most of my dj sets of last year and I'm super excited it will now be finally available for everybody" says our label manager @pedromercado about "Gideon", the title track of our newest Chrom EP. 

Pedro created this track during the pandemic in collaboration with @jg_outsider and started to test it with big success in his gigs as soon as the pandemic was over. Subsequently, Pedro Mercado and JG Outsider produced also some more tracks together, and so this EP was born!

The third track on the release, "Arcadia", is pure Progressive House bliss. 

During the pandemic Pedro Mercado got in contact with the Spanish artist Javier Gómez when they joined the same new booking agency EMA (Electronic Music Anthem). Javi is not a new name in the electronic music scene. He was formerly known as 'Javi Golo', a dj/producer with an impressive and long international career going back to the progressive trance of the 90's. During the pandemic Javi worked on his comeback as 'JG Outsider', a digital and analogue energetic live act with a melodic and progressive techno sound, combined with indie dance influences. This resulted in releases on labels such as Krafted Underground, Nein, @Tanzgemeinschaft, and yes also Chrom Recordings. He is now also the label manager of @UnderTheTrees.ofc, the new Indie Dance sublabel of Tanzgemeinschaft.

"Chrom head honcho Pedro Mercado hooked up with Dutch legendary DJ/producer Yves Eaux to create a brand new dancefloor stormer called "Chakra Khan", featuring the amazing vocals of Jay Davi!

It was right after their gig at Het Stadsfeest in Apeldoorn in Holland last year when Pedro and Yves decided to have a drink together to chill out. The duo was joined by American MC Jay Davi from Columbus (Ohio) who had his very first European performance at this sold out event. This was when the idea was born for a collab track and they immediately started to write some lyrics together. The day after they went into the studio where they laid the foundations for this remarkable gem called "Chakra Khan". It showcases not only the superb production skills of the two deejays, it also brings out the quality of Jay Davi as a vocalist. Although it is spoken word recording, Jay adds a strong and mesmerizing layer to the track bringing it up to a spiritual level. The result is truely outstanding! "Chakra Khan" has been road tested since then on various gigs and it turns out to work some real magic on the dancefloors. Crowds have a very strong response to it and people come up to the DJ booth asking for the track-ID. And now it's finally time for "Chakra Khan" to spread its positive vibes to the global dance floors.

On top of that both producers added their own remix: Yves Eaux adds his typical driving tech style, while Pedro Mercado delivers a beautiful Organic House interpreation by teaming up with his female partner Na Té under their alias AkpaLa."

@chrom-recordings closes down their summer with a bang: the third EP of Dmitriy Shulgin on our label, backed up with a fantastic remix by our own label manager @PedroMercado! Dmitriy made his succesful Chrom debut 1 year ago on our Chromologic Sampler under the alias Doppelganger, followed by his first Chrom EP called "Hungry Corpse" in the beginnng of this year, this time under another a new alias Do Magic. 

In the beginning of the summer we released his second Chrom EP called "Cult" in collaboration with his friend Uzun. And now it's time for number 3: "Ancient Magic", containing 3 exciting Indie Dance tracks. Our label manager Pedro Mercado is obviously a big fan of Do Magic, so he decided to pick the title track of this EP for his first Chrom remix of this year! Pedro Mercado is on fire this summer with an EP on MUKKE (together with Fernando Lagreca), a remix for Krafted Underground. (for Elle Jae) and of course his Chrom EP "Chakra Khan" in collaboration with Yves Eaux (feat. Jay Davi). He turns "Ancient Magic" into a truly powerful dance floor weapon!

One year ago Chrom recordings released the fantastic 'Gideon' EP from their label manager Pedro Mercado together with JG Outsider. That EP contained 4 original tracks. The title track 'Gideon' was a big success as we had hoped, but to our pleasant surprise the B-side track 'Eden' turned out to be at least as popular. So we decided to re-release 'Eden' together with a remix for each of the 4 tracks from the original EP. 

For this remix EP they carefully selected 4 artists that they really love.

We are premiering Twilight Music Sculpture. Real name Sean O'Brien, from Toronto in Canada, he is known for creating passionate journeys through melodic, deep & organic beats in his radio shows, during his video streams and on his own label Early Twilight. We got to know him better when he played for us recently at the Amsterdam Dance Event and asked him to remix 'Arcadia'.
