Exercise For Opening To Receive

Begin by breathing deeply. A few rounds of equal inhale and exhale. (Samavritti pranayama) or alternate nostril breathing (nadi shodhana pranayama) setting a calm space for you to go inward. If you have a practice connected to a favorite guide, angel or deity you may call them in with a prayer or a mantra. Place your hands on the belly (second chakra) as you continue to gently breathe.

Allow yourself to be open to the voice of the child-like self inside. 
Ask the child “What would you like to receive?” 


Once you hear from the child, continue breathing and notice what you notice.

 If your child-self does not know what you want to receive, simply ask for what serves your highest good and all the joyfulness to flow in.

Repeat three times (while rubbing your belly gently):

“There is nothing that the divine mother wouldn't grant me. 
The divine mother loves me unconditionally and I am opening like a flower to receive her love. The divine mother is willing to give me what brings me joy.”

Now turn your palms upward and in your lap hold them up. 

You may mentally repeat: 
“Quan Yin, Quan Yin, Quan Yin” (or whatever deity, angel or guide you called in) and ask again for your request.

Now bring your hands back to your belly and transfer the nurturing energy that you have received to the child-self, to the intestines, and to the emotional doorway of your being. You may mentally repeat “I am willing to transfer this nurturing energy to my physical self now.” - And so it is!
