Originally released two decades ago, We Interface stood as a defining moment in the fusion of psytrance and futuristic techno. Now, Brazilian techno heavyweights Alex Stein and Victor Ruiz breathe new life into the classic with a modern, high-octane reinterpretation that honors the past while charging into the future.

The remix also marks a personal milestone: the 20-year anniversary of the friendship between Victor and Alex.. The duo first met at a psytrance party in 2005, where both artists shared the stage. We Interface was part of the soundtrack to that night—laying the foundation for a bond that would grow over two decades of mutual respect and artistic evolution.
In Victor’s words: “This remix is deeply personal. It’s a tribute to the moment our paths crossed and to the track that was playing when it all began.”

Stein and Ruiz bring their signature analog energy, rolling basslines, and cinematic sound design to the remix—elevating We Interface into a timeless anthem fit for today's dancefloors and tomorrow’s sonic explorations.

Dutch talent Job Nelis returns to EXTIMA with a standout three-tracker EP that reaffirms his position as a rising force in the peak-time techno landscape. Berlin-based producer Kaufmann unveils her powerful new single “Mother” on VOLTA Records. This evocative release is accompanied by two standout remixes from Tao Andra and Mila Journeé, each bringing a distinct vibe to the energetic original.

“The vocal is undoubtedly at the centre of the track,” Kaufmann explains. “I took inspiration from a well-known System of a Down track and placed the mother at the heart of the story. It's actually my own voice, which I processed with AI, among other tools. I wanted to combine the energies of my favourite genres: techno with some psy and a pinch of metal."

Tao Andra’s remix takes the track into hypnotic, tribal-influenced techno terrain, while Mila Journeé lends her signature melodic touch with a cinematic, driving reinterpretation.

“This is my second time releasing with VOLTA Records,” says Mila Journeé. “The first was a two-track EP that did really well, and now I'm back with a remix of a really cool track by Kaufmann, at the invitation of Victor, a great friend and production partner who I love working with. Tao Andra is a Romanian artist based in Lisbon. She synthesizes her hyperactive but sensitive personality into her music, blending different genres into her high energy performances. 

Her musical journey began in The Netherlands during her university years. Right away she became completely immersed in the Dutch Techno scene.

She describes the experience as “It feels like you finally find where you belong.”

She started to collect music on vinyl while teaching herself how to DJ. That is a common trait in her life, a lot of her skills are self-taught.

Techno speaks to her hyperactive personality, but sensitive nature. And that is how she builds her sets. The musical journeys she creates are always a mix between high energy, groove and emotional moments.

Her release “Gracias a la Vida” got global attention after Indira Paganotto played her track at MainStage Tomorrowland. In the aftermath, Andra has been featured in the Rolling Stone, CNN, and La Nácion. 

This year,  Charlotte de Witte has also been supporting her music, playing  her track "Brain Train" during the  closing of the MainStage at Tomorrowland. 

Tao Andra has brought her timeless sound to many corners of the world. From Brazil to Australia, Germany to India, Argentina to Japan.
