Tao Andra is a Romanian artist based in Lisbon. She synthesizes her hyperactive but sensitive personality into her music, blending different genres into her high energy performances. 

Her musical journey began in The Netherlands during her university years. Right away she became completely immersed in the Dutch Techno scene.

She describes the experience as “It feels like you finally find where you belong.”

She started to collect music on vinyl while teaching herself how to DJ. That is a common trait in her life, a lot of her skills are self-taught.

Techno speaks to her hyperactive personality, but sensitive nature. And that is how she builds her sets. The musical journeys she creates are always a mix between high energy, groove and emotional moments.

Her release “Gracias a la Vida” got global attention after Indira Paganotto played her track at MainStage Tomorrowland. In the aftermath, Andra has been featured in the Rolling Stone, CNN, and La Nácion. 

This year,  Charlotte de Witte has also been supporting her music, playing  her track "Brain Train" during the  closing of the MainStage at Tomorrowland. 

Tao Andra has brought her timeless sound to many corners of the world. From Brazil to Australia, Germany to India, Argentina to Japan.
