This was a very last minute addition to the album and I'm really glad I got it worked out. Originally I was going to remix this acapella over the 'Death Penalty' beat, going for a much darker hardcore vibe. That was cool and it definitely worked to some extent, but I think it was too similar to later tracks in the album and I wanted to explore a few different styles and sounds. I was digging through some disco/funk records and when I heard this, I instantly knew I had to flip it, didn't really think about what acapella would go over it. When I tried this acapella I knew I had to make this the final remix, it really fit the playful vibe to the lyrics and acted as a nice breath of fresh air in the album I think. Knew I had to include this beat on the project, fits the Wu vibes perfectly imo. Originally had this as the beat for Shame, but decided to scrap that and use it for this interlude, cause I thought it fit the dark vibe of what's going on. Also I'm still really happy with the Shabazz remix I have over this beat, so I didn't see the need to do another full remix straight away.

I really liked how this one turned out, especially the way the singing 'ooh' vocals from the original blended with the low end 'wah' of the sample I flipped. Used the switch up a lot more on this version too, liked the way the change in the sample matched the change in flows from different artists etc.
