How do you find the songs you sample, is it some stuff that you have personal connections to, or stuff you found, i want to know so i can listen to some more music without finding generic stuff everybody else knows and find more hidden and harder to find stuff.

Kept it simple with this beat, thought it worked with this acapella cause there's so many different styles every artist attacks the beat in their own way, and that brings the variation so not as much need to have the beat switching and changing all the time, although I did switch it up after a while. I feel like these sort of rugged guitar beats tend to go well with these 'mafia style' tracks too, just something about the feel of this sort of acapella goes well with this kind of beat to me. 

Got a full remix album dropping in April, holding off on announcing the artist for now, so thought it made sense to drop this one now as it's more of a standalone remix with so many dope artists, and all the verses are very strong too. Remix album artist is not featured on this track, I'll say that much.

The Real Ones

Dedicated to my brother on his 21st birthday. Thank you for really putting me onto 50 as an artist, would never have made these remixes otherwise and they genuinely are some of my favourite tracks I've ever made. To me this feels like the best body of beats I've ever made, they all feel like they're in the same world and I've always wanted to make an album which has that cohesive feel to it. What Does It All Mean?

One of my favourite AZ acapellas, the verses and the hook especially have always been crazy to me, been wanting to remix it for a while but I never felt like I had the right beat. 

When I made this one I had a feeling it would fit well, the vibe just matched the acapella imo, and the flow was a nice fit too. Beat was a lot of fun to flip, loads of layering from across the sample, the subtle harp chops really elevated the vibe for me, and the way the horn chops echo from the end of the loop into the start gives the beat a lot of momentum I think.

For the visuals I used the video for The Come Up, just had to get some nice visuals for this one to bring it to life, I think all the shots of the birds flying really fit the vibe of this remix well, this beat really gives off that sort of imagery to me, the way the horns echo really makes me think of that kind of imagery.
