I used no structure, no ideas, no music theory, no intellectualism, no warmups, no inspiration, no hate, no love, no songs, no jams, no solos, no overdubs, no editing, no mixing and no mastering.
This is a first take.
I allowed my energy to escape this prison for 9 minutes and recorded it because this is my form of therapy so that I'm able to keep my sanity in this world...
What is the idea of a song?
Is it resonating frequencies to communicate with those who don’t understand you?

Is it to gain feedback from the inconsistent frequency that holds you down that you’ll never tame?

I’ve spent my whole life trying to understand, love and survive.
I’ve been beaten and beaten over and over again consistently, to the point where I’ve lost perspective.
What is perspective?
Is it the idea of an idea you may have?
Where do you think you found your knowledge?
You are nothing but a mirror in an ever changing vacuum, and I refuse to live like this...
Because I am just like you.
The only difference between you and I is that I decided today to shatter the mirror, to prove to you that I don’t have to live like those who only reflect.
Many people have given up around me, which I almost once did, but now I realize that it isn’t about giving up or never quitting.
It’s about being free...

I set up my recording gear and I hit record, not having a clue what I was going to play.
I’ve been held back throughout most of my life so why not just break through the musical prison we’ve been living in?

Realize that you play music to escape from the prison you’re living in.
Focus on the energy, the tones, and allow your soul to sing.

I played this guitar tonight for my son Remington. Son, I hope you enjoy this if you’re listening. I love you, and if I’m not here with you while you’re listening to this, don’t worry. I am with you and I’ll always be the love you carry around everywhere you go. One day you’ll realize that I was you, and you’re me. Tape Legacy is an outspoken, passion-fueled, Native American (Ciboney/Nahua) Artist from Burbank, CA who many have described as a living shadow of Link Wray, Dick Dale, Eddie Van Halen, Jim Morrison, Keith Flint, Jimi Hendrix, and GG Allin. Named in honor of the historic relevance and preservation of tape which has revolutionized music, culture, and humanity’s destiny, “Tape Legacy” aka Serafin is an innovative sound designer and musician whose work with music legends like Eusebio “Chivo” Cortez and Kathie Talbot inspired sounds in the EDM and Rock scene, changing the sounds of TV Commercials and Films to this day.
