Budapest’s Tapes Sublimating continues to carve out its niche in the electronic music scene with “Iridescent,” a radiant 4-original EP from the talented duo Diamond Haze. Comprising Gábor, a seasoned bassist with years of live performance under his belt, and Milán, a crate-digging DJ with a passion for everything from vintage Trance to sleek Modern Disco, the pair merges their distinct backgrounds into a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. True to its title, the parcel shimmers with lush, ever-shifting tones, blending warm analog textures with crisp electronic production. Each theme glides effortlessly, showcasing their ability to balance melody and rhythm while maintaining a hypnotic, dreamlike quality.

Premiered here, “Club Jupiter,” is a jubilant explosion of groove, layering punchy basslines with effervescent synth work and an unmistakable Nu-Disco swing. There’s a playful, almost robotic funkiness to it – reminiscent of Daft Punk’s early magic – but filtered through Diamond Haze’s own futuristic lens. The track’s infectious energy and polished craftsmanship make it an instant dance-floor magnet, as if Jupiter itself has opened a neon-lit club where the party never ends.

Crimson presents Pink Eyed Blue with DIAMOND HAZE. Words of Diamond Haze member, DJ R Tango: "First of all, it was truly an honour to record a mix for the Pink Eyed Blue series. I started collecting tracks I wanted to include a few months ago, then finally had a Saturday to myself - my daughter wasn’t at home - so I could spend most of the day figuring out what I really wanted to do with it. After two versions I wasn’t happy with, I finally recorded a mix that reflects the kind of selection I'm into: a wide variety of music I love, including a few of our own productions and some all-time favourites - presented in a way that I feel really works. Thanks a lot for the opportunity!" Diamond Haze is an electronic music project formed in Budapest by Gábor and Milán. Gábor is a seasoned bassist whose musical journey began with high school bands, while Milán is a vinyl aficionado known for his eclectic collection and DJ sets that span genres from early trance to modern disco. As a production duo, Diamond Haze’s unique sound is the result of a harmonious fusion of their distinct musical backgrounds and innovative perspectives. They have released seven EPs on their own Tapes Sublimating label, with their eighth, Iridescent, set for release on 27th June.

As sci-fi author John Wyndham wrote, the essential quality of life is living; the essential quality of living is change; change is evolution: and we are part of it. Reconstellation is about considering the person a fluid process, an ever-changing entity made of continually reforming cells carrying unlimited potentialities. These moments of reconstellation are presented on this EP on three levels: as personal themes of recovering my health and turning 35; as inspirations from the admired universe (samples contain gravitational-waves chirps of merging black holes detected by LIGO, the sonic boom of Jupiter's magnetic field captured by Juno spacecraft and the sonification of Comet 67P recorded by probe Rosetta); and as the conjuction of breakbeats and rave heritage with futuristic techno under one star sign."
