So for the final mix of the year in the Take a Trip series we have @hinakoomori , a musician with a love for synthesizers and anything that makes interesting sounds. 

Hinako's own production combines ambientspace-synths with field recordings and her own ethereal vocals. Thematically, her music is influenced by the idea of space and infinity, floating into separate universes — everything being transparent and lucid, and the idea that nothing is permanent.

For the mix Hinako decided to do a sonic representation of a dream they had recently, that they scrawled into their iPhone notes when they woke up one morning… all the tracks are chosen around the theme of the dream.

The Dream: Walking around the Swiss alps on a day off, and I get lost trying to record the sound of icicles. I take a train towards the mountains to a large film auditorium, where the whole class is sat round wearing headphones.The ground is springy and spongy.

On this month’s show, Organic Analogue Records are excited to welcome Papadopoulopoulos, a deep cover DJ duo residing in Bristol, UK.
The name choice “Papadopoulopoulos” is a funny take on Greece’s most popular surname “Papadopulos” and since the late 60s has also gained a certain political weight. 
As a DJ duo, they are very much into creating complex auditory and emotional soundscapes, drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of different genres and taste, something they both have very much in common. One chair, one dream.

Writer, journalist and academic Marcus Boon recently published an astonishing book, which has been a huge inspiration for me, The Politics of Vibration: Music as Cosmopolitical Practice. The book investigates the cosmological, social and ethical implications of sound as vibratory praxis and covers a wide range of artists including Pandit Pran Nath, CC Hennix, DJ Screw, Henry Flynt, La Monte Young & Marian Zazeela, Prince, Miles Davis, and a Tribe Called Red among others. For this episode Marcus put together a mix of vibrations discussed in the book, an entrancing world of durational sound. Very special thanks to Marcus for putting this mix together.

Birdcast no.30 is from Lithuanian bro Švenčionis - a musical flâneur (being generous) or self-satisfied dilettante of music (being almost honest). He has done many things around music, from writing about it (for some time even for legendary music journal Secret Thirteen) to playing it at parties, to organizing gigs containing it (having organized the first Esplendor Geometrico gig in 20 years, respectively in Vilnius, Lithuania). He calls himself a right moody c*nt, and this mix was created in a right moody time - the final stretch of the pandemic. About this recording he says: "I love it, but then again, I've never been able to record something I truly like that sounds different."
