Summary
When the children emerge from their trees, they step right into the arms of the pirates. They are flung from pirate to pirate and then gagged while Wendy, who comes up last, is taken by Hook himself. The only one who remains safe below is Peter, who has no reason to believe that the children have not left to go find Wendy’s mother. Hook slips down into the home to find Peter fast asleep. Summary
With Hook dead, the reader must know that it’s time for Wendy to return home. After a brief glimpse at the ship and its victors, we shift to the mainland, where Mr. and Mrs. Darling are still waiting for their children to return. Peter makes one last effort to prevent Wendy’s return, but once again finds himself on the outside of the nursery window. When the children arrive, their home is not exactly as they left it. Let’s listen and find out why their father is literally in the dog house.
