Big Spider's Back - Pffff

This song is a very special one for me. It all started some weeks ago, when I came across this absolutely amazing song - "Old Friend" by the australian singer Hoodlem. I instantly fell in love with her voice, in love with all that emotion and melancholy. So I decided to write her a message, telling her how much I've fallen for her voice...and the rest ist history :)

After her solo release and an EP as a part of trio KLANGLIEBE, Klangschwester now sets in scene her third apparition as part of duo Go Astray. 


Karl Gruender and Klangschwester were gone astray while drifting on the same musical wavelength. When he was a child, Karl must have been fallen into a pot of magic potion with a lot of creative and productive energy in it, which is now gushing out and out of him. Since they met on the net, Klangschwester is taking paradisiac soundbathes in these effusions. Inspired and spurred, she puts her voice into rainbow bubbles, watches them flying over the sound, and waits for the moment that they burst.


All they say themselves on their “Keep Loving Me“ EP is as short and sharp as their sounds are long and winding: “Unfulfilled aspirations, secret wishes. Doubt and questions. Contrasts. Dark sides. Sexual attraction.”

All Emerald & Doreen has to add: Introspective, broken bass with longing vocals on the original tracks “Keep Loving Me“, “Touch“ and “Bittersweet“. Plus a massive collection of equally brilliant remixes: Haioka takes it to a wonderland, Fluss creates a hymn that will stay on your head for days, Copycat arranges a nu disco stomper and adds a symphony version of equal elegance, the Dead Sea Captains open the electro-house floor, and the always amazing Theatre Of Delays just have their fun at exactly this stage of moving in and moving out.

Welcome to part one of Peloton’s soundtrack for aeronauts, aviatrix contenders, dirigible riders, creatures of flight and all those in perpetual motion: The Taking Flight EP.“Taking Flight” is both metaphor for the label’s re-launch and a direct nod to the next collaborative theme that will take things to the skies with our upcoming theme “Birds in Flight”.
The Title track, “First Birds of Morning” produced by long time musical collaborator Stewart Walker, is the perfect introduction and pseudo-narrative for Peloton’s second theme in the series.After headlining the highly successful Peloton Launch party at Decibel Festival 2008, and later hearing of the label’s upcoming compilation,Stewart contributed “First Birds of Morning”.We commissioned Lusine (Jeff McIlwain) and The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri) for the first set of remixes who were both key proponents of the initial label’s launch with Bicycles Are Your Friends.Hanssen and Jon McMillion throw their wings open as Seattle's 5th wave.  This is just a preview with a few more remixes to come.

David Douglas - Last Day On Earth

'Take Them All' is the fourth single taken from my forthcoming album 'Make Up Your Own Stories', released on October 5th. 

I always like contrast within music; an array of elements that keeps a song diverse and unable to be specific on genre or style. Its what I wanted from this track, having fairly up front beats and basslines but with pretty and melancholic musical elements on top, along with the amazing vocal by The Slow Revolt! Its one of my favourite songs I've ever written, and goes on quite a journey.
