Once again I attempt to reach the top of the mountain. Leading myself through the gloomiest woods and murkiest waters. The way to the summit is always longer than it seems. And this time - there's nobody here to guide me. I have lost my path without even noticing it. Haunted by ghosts and creatures, I endure the test of my identity.

My journey took me somewhat further down the rabbit-hole than I had attended and though I dirtied my fluffy white tail I have emerged, enlightened.

NIEVE VOLCANICA [Marasm, Monkey Tool]

Another bundle of goodness for the Episode Б27 filled with dub, dubstep, cumbia, heavy bass and roots reggae. Nieve Volcanica is one of projects launched in 2017 by Umkra, a producer based in Paris. With OlgaZz and DRK, he’s running MARASM: an independent, eclectic and anti-conformist label focused on the limited pressing vinyl accompanied by a rather distinct visual language. From the hardcore, breakcore and industrial sound system culture, all three mates recently celebrated 20 years of the label. In 2018, they’ve founded HELECHO DUB, a sub-label oriented in dub, carioca funk, folktronica... Nieve Volcania has recently released on Monkey Tool (Toolbox Records). He explores vocals and traditional instruments as harmonica, Quena, Tarka, Ocarina, Bara drums… This fresh mix allows us to discover some productions of Marasm rec. and his own as well.
