Every now and then, I go down a bit of a rabbit hole with music — usually some daft idea that ends up eating way too much of my time. This one started with a random memory of a track that’s haunted me since the 90s — a Loftgroover tune that was never properly released. What started as me messing around on the Behringer TD-3 turned into a full-blown attempt to resurrect a lost bit of hardcore history.

Terror-ific madman Sadistician provides the goods this time with live manipulated re-imagined tracks from his side project HateWire into an onslaught that takes you to the extreme ends of electronic music, noise & terror. Buckle up for a truly wild ride 😉💥

A word from Sadistician.....
As I grew up I got into various sorts of music, however a sizeable turning point for me was getting into extreme metal during my latter teenage years - particularly old school black metal.  Black metal has provided me with huge influence on my tracks and continues to do so (this is particularly true of other projects I am involved with such as HateWire). In my early 20s I then discovered the more extreme end of rave music - notably breakcore & hardcore! Listening to a lot of this during that time led me to getting my own computer, purely so I could have fruity loops & start making my own music!  In 2004 Sadistician was born...!!!

I became involved with various labels & crews, including Centrifuge, Braincore Recordings (harder end label spin off from Centrifuge), Rigormortis (my involvement with this lot led to the birth of HateWire in 2008 as well...) & Splatterkore Reck-Ords.  At this stage I was involved in many events as well as co-ordinating releases for Braincore.  As time moved on I then became involved with other labels & crews, such as Legs Akimbo, Viral Conspiracy and latterly Gutter Cvnt. I also started a collaborative project with a good friend (Scrubber Fox) which we called Sadistic Foxician.  We put together 2 releases ("Nonsensical Nightstalking" & "Core Tea Vicar?") which Legs Akimbo kindly released on record in 2012 and 2016.  Having some breakcore/hardcore released on proper records remains a big achievement for me.  Most recently I have become involved with Superbad Midi Breaks, which has been very much an honour.  Getting involved with SBMB has allowed me to reconnect with artists I haven't spoken to in a while as well as also meet some amazing new ones too.  I am looking forward to working with SBMB more in the future!!

Sadistician is most certainly the "mother project" and remains at the heart of everything I do musically. This has given rise to a number of other musical projects over the year as well....

HateWire is the miserable bastard cousin of Sadistician. It is everything that you dislike... When I began HateWire the idea was to create total hell for the listener, be it through recorded music or through live sets. Back then my main approach was to take speedcore loops and “refuckulate” them using my kaoss pad. For this particular set you are hearing now, I have done the very same. As a result HateWire tracks have been reimagined on the fly, completely “live” if you will... This creates something that cannot be reproduced and is essentially unique in it’s own way. Do I care what you think??? Fuck off!!!!
