chippy nonstop got her name for a reason. she is an audacious, all caps, undeniable party starter. chippy is a dj, singer, rapper, writer, producer, organizer of community events and an outspoken activist who’s fighting to change gender disparity in the dance music industry.

since co-founding ‘intersessions’ in 2017, a dj workshop for women, femme, non-binary, and queer people, the program has taken off with new chapters sprouting up all over north america. the goals are simple; teaching future innovators how to hone their skills while being self-reliant in a male-centric industry.

labelled as ‘one to watch’, people are now paying attention to her’. never shy to create drama through her outspoken online persona, she’s amassed over 70k fans and followers, and been featured in vogue, gawker, fader, vice and boiler room to name just a few. in demand, she’s toured across asia, australia, europe and north america. chippy nonstop has written songs for major lazer, and had her music featured on netflix, hbo, comedy central and in a stella mccartney campaign focused on female empowerment.

born chhavi nanda in dubai, she has been globally influenced, for in addition to being of indian descent she grew up in zambia before living in the us for most of her life. after being very publicly deported, and banned for 10 years, she’s become a canadian citizen who now calls toronto home. and she’s making some noise. chippy nonstop is heralded by dj mag as a “pivotal dj and producer whose influence has shaped the world of electronic music, both in their local scenes and beyond”.

after a brief hiatus focusing on djing and her workshops, chippy is making her much anticipated return with her debut lp and collaboration, “chippy nonstop x dj genderfluid” out april 9th 2021. taking a cue from other avant garde pop sensations like m.i.a, madonna & lady gaga, the album incorporates elements of the most forward thinking underground club, electronic and techno music creating a ravey, playful, pop crossover album that will turn heads and once again put the artist on the forefront of popular culture.

BIO
Teresa Ferreiro has mixed for international radios such as NTS and @ThreadsRadio (London), @RinseFM (Paris), @Kioskradio (Brussels) or Somerset Radio (New York). She was part of festivals programmes such as Sons da Canteira, El Apóstol de Santiago, Feudal (Spain) and the Cheeky NYE Party (London).
Part of her family is interested in the promotion and protection of the traditions of Galician folk culture. However, her musical education was much more focused in latin music. Teresa moved to London after finishing her degree in Fine Art. In London she was involved in the electronic music scene and with feminist and queer collectives. 
She developed an increasingly eclectic musical interest.  In her sets you can find all sorts of references, e.g. a traditional galician acapella songs mixed with dark techno, hardcore, breakbeat, drum and bass and experimental music. She has an elegant, tight mixing style with surprising choices.
Teresa came back to Spain and finished her PhD in Gender studies and Fine Art. She also works as a comic artist and illustrator and a writer for music magazines such as Nuebo and Rockdelux. 
She is co-founder of the DJ female collective Sisters of Rave (SOR).
She is the co-founder of Ruido de Fondo. An association that works as a label, event promoter, music magazine and it also represents underground artists.
She is part of the duo Spanish Tracatá with producer and DJ Clara!
