Meet Alex Khomenko aka Sparkless, who's love to music came quietly and naturally. For over 15 years Sparkless was focused on collecting music and sharing the collection as a DJ. 
Alex characterizes the music he promotes as an intellectual and emotional cocktail. We couldn't agree more, as the selection on this mix proves deep and insightful knowledge of a modern indie-dance and disco scene, of course traveling around everything's that's around: nu-disco, breaks, house, italo, etc. It's not only important to be up to date with what's going in the world, but wisely weave in classics too. This beautiful piece is exactly like this - while traveling around genres and eras it feels whole and thoughtful.

'Over his decade-long career, London-born producer and DJ COHN has turned slow and steady into an art form. He’s released a slew of EPs, singles, and remixes on some of the biggest house music labels on the planet, including Kitsuné, Nervous and Ed Banger, and built a cult following as a DJ through his bi-monthly club night & label Butter & Wine. In 2023, he released his EP Wine and Reason, a 3-track project that pays homage to the artist’s house and disco roots while championing his own distinct sound. Through 2024 he released music on Hong Kong-based label Fauve Records before putting out his first vinyl release “Kafka in the Streets” on legendary Bordello last summer. COHN has an additional EP of darker club tracks coming out on Midnight People later in 2024.'

Next up joining the Reframe we have Leeds based DJ/Producer and all round good guy John Paynter. Host of the monthly radio show “A Space Age Freak Out and head of Paisley Dark Record label trading in some of the finest electronic psychedelia.  
John has been an avid collector of vinyl for many years spanning a wide and varied range of genre, his signature sound taking influence from central strands of electronica, punk, funk and dub creations.

In recent years his focus has moved into production with remix work for artists including BT Cop, Shunt Voltage, Japanese Television, Steady State, Clandestino and From Beyond... John has taken a left turn to his usual dancefloor focussed sound and put together a summer infused selection closing out the last  hour and 45 of the show with the ReFrame opening up.

'Falling in love with Indie Dance at a memorable rave in 2019, I have passionately explored this eclectic genre ever since. 

My style blends Indie Dance with retro sounds. I love purely percussive sections and polyrhythmic rhythms, 90's synths, and pads. My music draws inspiration from EBM, Synthwave, Italo, and Dark Disco. 

In my sets, I aim to be at the intersection of various emotions: between nostalgia and excitement, between melancholy and wonder, where humanity feels most alive. I've had the opportunity to mix for Tsugi Radio, France's leading electronic radio. 

My first EP is scheduled for release in 2025. Besides my DJ career, I work part-time at Versatile Records, constantly expanding my musical horizons.'

Tareq is a London-based Greek-Jordanian recording artist and one half of the dj/producer duo Boys' Shorts. Started as the frontman of the nu electro band TechSoir and released their only album Dark Room (2007). Tareq followed a solo career and released his solo debut album "Cocoon" (2010) (Best Electronic Album of the Year, in his native Greece) and included the hit singles "Cold", "Feel Me" and "Mosquito", and collaborations w/ Marsheaux, Lacquer and V-Sag, to name a few. Mix Mag named "Feel Me - Mighty Mouse Vocal Remix” as their Tune of the Month for August 2011. Tareq's second album "Fish" (2013) embodied a different approach to pop music from his first album and included successful collaborations with a number of Greek Indie Pop artists such as Natassa Bofiliou, Ilia Darlin, Marietta Fafouti, Marina Satti and Rsn. In his theme of evolving his sound over time, Tareq's EP "Indigo - EP" (2017) was produced by the french artist Lacquer and it was described as a funky feast of intelligent smooth Electro-Pop. Following the singles "You and Me" and "One" , Tareq more mature than ever, wrote and produced "Prints", a mid tempo electronica love serenade under the dystopian circumstances (July 2020). 
Tareq has also done remixes, for international artists such as Fischerspooner, Erasure, Casey Spooner, Gala, Mighty Mouse, Marsheaux, Bright Light Bright Light, Jessica 6 and many more.
