In nostalgic memory they are named after the Schlager-foursome from Saxon commune Schmannewitz, representing a musical variety of Trance, Acid and Hardstyle. Slowly and boring is impossible! Their overtop performance may be an incredible effrontery for some, but therein lies the magic of the Saxon Export-Schlager!

The TARMAC Festival took place for the first time in September 2020 at the Allstedt airfield and is by now organized and hosted by the TARMAC e.V. The non-profit association is the official framework to realize common ideas and visions of small art and music collectives from Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg and Thuringia. Our common goal is to create spaces where people can express themselves and feel comfortable and where escapism is possible, whilst taking into account the challenges of the present.
