Tarnaz is a singer-songwriter performing & recording artist. 
Born in Rotterdam (1975) and grew up in a musical family. 
His stepfather played guitar and his mother played piano and was a  performing artist in the Dutch jazz scene. 
At the age of 10, Tarnaz moved to Suriname.

Tarnaz started singing seriously on his 12th in church choirs. He evolved as a true gospel singer who wanted to develop his talents in a different way soon. He did this through the creation of several acapella boys bands e.g. Smooth, 5PH and 4 Sten, where he could develop further in close harmony.
During that time he was inspired by Take 6, Boyz II Men, John Gibson, Nat King Cole, Orchestra music of Bach, Black Folkore & Jazz music.

In 2000 he returned to the Netherlands and joined the boy band "Twisted" (2001-2003) and later "Deja" (2003-2005) a hardcore R&B group. With "Deja" he played mainly in Germany and played among others in the programs of Blackstreet, Solange and other artists.

In 2004 Deja got the chance to sign a record deal, but they didn't sign. The group broke up. Tarnaz decided to spent a few years singing backing vocals and / or singing as a stand-in vocalist at various bands.

During his absence Tarnaz has gained refreshing ideas and has worked on new material. He is determined to hear more of himself. He is unspoken, has a unique sound, sings with all his heart and wants to share this with the world.
