Fine design of the formant sound and it's articulation!

Amazing textures, artfully presented , and a lot of creative material - I especially like the intro (up to 0:43), really evocative (and yeah, that piano...)!  And 1:58-2:26 is crazy unique and ominous.  I have to admit the bit at 0:43-0:50 and its reappearances bug me - this is laughably subjective but to me it's just not a good riff =P.

I'm mystified how this holds together so well,  I really have to study up on dissonance as a composition tool
