We're super geeked to welcome Ninasupsa aka Nina Bochorishvili to the GF series this week. This immensely talented DJ is one of the founders of Mutant Radio and a resident DJ at Bassiani/Horoom in Tbilisi. Together with an impressive team consisting of Tata and many other talented individuals, this forward-thinking crew bootstrapped an online station and grew this into one of the most prominent platforms in the scene. It's set up in a wagon and located at a former power station in Tbilisi, Georgia. Here they've crafted and developed their distinct mutant sound and host radio shows by Low Bat, who is a key contributor to the station, Diamin, Sons of Traders, Newworldaquarium, Robert Bergman, our own Bertram, and many others. They also invest heavily in their local community and never shy away from sharing their political views. Whether hosting takeovers in Garage Noord here in Amsterdam or Sameheads in Berlin, Ninasupsa and her team continue to spread the mutant gospel and we couldn't be happier about it. A vortex of sandy field recordings is swirling beyond atmospherical rhythms and subtle frequencies. It fades quicker than a blink of eye, yet still gently enough to seep into the depths of your mind without leaving any obvious trace of its passage. @tarra_ua spans the thin emotional line that only an Ukranian artist closely related to the present of Kiev could, with those typical 'ups and downs' of a culture that does not let itself be suppressed by the ongoing war. We first discovered Yssue (real name Dima Nekrotkov) through "The Laughing Gas" EP which came out on Stevie Whisper's label YES back in 2020 — it's a percussive workout we haven't stopped playing ever since. His subsequent releases on respected labels like KUMP, Private Persons, and Global Warming have only cemented our interest in Yssue's Swiss knife production approach and truly authentic sound. His music is loosely framed but we can safely describe it as a twisted bass-heavy hybrid, infused with a punkish attitude, rhythmic juggling, and a pinch of beautiful harmonies in between.

Apart from being a talented DJ and producer, Dima is also an incredibly gifted sound designer, always open to new projects and collabs.
