Having learnt Harmonium from childhood, Tarun at an early age of 18 picked up the guitar. He joined a group called 'Alap' as a singer and guitarist, and eventually also ended up recording and mixing their songs. Right then and there, Tarun matured from a musician to a person who lives and breathes 'sound'. He culminated this passion into a profession after learning at the prestigious "Film and television institute of India", Pune, later joining as Music Production faculty in "Seamedu school of pro expressionism" after gradation. Now, he imparts knowledge to others as well as increments it within himself as he balances both his teaching  as well as works as freelance music composer and arranger in Mumbai.
