Streak of red on distant horizon 
We´re only surmising 

Hear the siren passing it makes me tight and shrinking on the inside 
Where do we hide, where do we hide, where do we hide...? 

Wondering if we´re ever gonna see again some blue skies 
The news keeps mixing who dies 
With fruit pies, new shoe styles, you´re so cool, guys 

Aaaaah, this november makes me grateful you´re still with me 
Aaaaah, and tonight I´m thankful we can still breathe
Still feel something real

Every joy has a pain on the other side 
Every birth starts with a cry 
Every freedom brings on unexpected ties 
Every love means something in you dies. 

Don´t believe happiness comes with thousand roses 
I don´t believe in easy roads 
I know it grows as 
Little flower, shining bright, 
squeezed tight among hard, cold pavestones 
So fragile yet undefeated 
Trodden on, spat on and torn, still bursting out defiant 
No matter how hard they treat it I know they´ll never beat it. 

Every pain has a joy on the other side 
Every darkness may be pierced with the faintest light 
Every cry lets out what has been hidden 
Every lie may reveal the truth unbidden 

Don´t believe in sunlight that casts no shadows 
I don´t believe in too bright colours of plastic flowers 
Perfect blossoms of unwaning dyes, like the eyes of a dummy in disguise, forever nice 
Green leaves that don´t wither, decline, fall dry 
They just carry on, without a thorn, without a strife, but they´re not alive.

NARROW LANE

I´m sorry you got to hear this, mate 
I know you´re busy, I know its late, 
and I´m afraid you stayed though you wanted to go 
And you won´t say so … but wait! 
This joke I made was bad one, I admit 
But I had lots of shit on my mind and the kids 
were a hard job - do yours do the same? 
I got - them alone full three days. 
Took them to my mum´s place, search me why I did it 
Just to see her makes me choke, a mistake I admit it 
She made me feel much worse by what she thought was pretty 
behaviour - she acted like my bloody saviour! 

Aaah, my mind is like a narrow lane, that never leads to nowhere good 
Aaah, my life is like a broken frame, leaning into thin air 
Aaah, a narrow lane 

Then my dad came, didn´t even stop to say „Hi!“ 
said “wanna talk to you´bout how you´re leading your life” 
I know it all by heart, heard it thousand times 
his hopes, my crimes, exposed, crossed lines. 
Aching to retort “Man, I´m thirty-nine! 
look at yourself, its to your life you´re resigned…” 
but I kept my mouth shut just as I did when I was ten 
now tell me - is your dad the same?! 
When I got home my wife would just tell me she was tired 
I heard it all and said: „yea, love, relax and have a shower“ 
But red light in my brain flashed „you´re running out of power!!“ 
Its crazy - when did she last say „you´re amazing!?“
