After 4 years the Tate Brothers returned for another Seven by 7, this time at the Vintedge Gin Bar. My brother was first up and played chilled out Jazz & Funk breaks with some classic Hip Hop thrown in for good measure. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon. I followed up on the same tip with some funky instrumentals blended with a few acapellas, leading onto some of my favourite Disco Boogie jams, an AOR banger, Calypso for the summer sun and an R'n'B stomper to finish.

Another Tate brothers return to Seven by 7 after 2 years away. Armed with summer vibes a plenty. My brother kicked it off with some classic Yacht Rock, MPB and a touch of Funk and Soul. I followed with a Reggae cover, some Brazilian Samba, a slept on classic by Bill Withers, head nodding instrumental Funk and one of my favourite Swing songs by the incomparable Aretha Franklin.

Covers, Remixes & Re-Edits 😎 Hitting the ground running with a big uptempo Brass cover, then a little Reggae Johnny Cash before getting to some Mashups featuring Childish Gambino, Kanye and Fatboy Slim, before finishing with an Afro Remix, BOGOF classic dancefloor bangers and a nice Funk cover to round it off. 🕺

It was another Tate Brothers team up as Seven by 7 set up shop at the Picture House Social. Both sets kicking off with a TV theme. My brother continued with some groove led Jazz, 80s melodica and a few 70s Funk gems. After enjoying the incredible break in my opener I went on to play a Zapp-esque vocoder cover, classic Disco, Latin Funk, Afrobeat and Indie before finishing with a Ska favourite.
