This is my first release after a 2 year COVID hiatus. I've employed new methods of recording for a different sound compared to my previous release. This will form part of a series of similarly themed instrumental singles and may lead to other releases with vocals in time.

Deimos

Phobos is the next instrumental metal release from Tatius Wolff in 2021! It's the second release in this series of Space themed singles after Deimos earlier this year.

My favourite part of this song has to be the chorus, which I cannot take full credit for. It was suggested by a drummer friend of my Stuart Adams and I have to say, it really makes this song.

This is the first proper collaboration I've done since I started Tatius Wolff in 2017. Nic Readh (Abyss Drumming) and I met after the release of The Relapse album and spoke about collaboration, but it wasn't until this year the planets aligned and we got something out the door. I've added some samples to this remix, tried to make it a bit different. But this song has already paved the way for more collaborations.

Mars

I first heard of Steve Broome and through United Front's Podcast back in July 2019. I later ran into him at a Katoomba gig, and we tried to collaborate a bit then but ran out of steam. Mars (Perfect Heads Remix) feat Steve Broome

This concept album is the story of being suddenly stuck by a debilitating illness, and the journey through the trials, tribulations, hope and despair.

I found myself hospitalised October 2017 with an intestinal infection, later diagnosed as Diverticulitis. This after years of never really having to visit the doctor apart from cholesterol tests and the odd check-up. This was a huge shock to me - 6 weeks past 44 and I'm in hospital with life changing health issues. But this first instance was just a sample. In hindsight, I wasn't really treating this change with as much respect as I should have been.

Another 5 weeks later, I'd be back in hospital with a bowel obstruction, a lot of vomit and a pipe through my nose to my stomach. During those 6 days, it really hit home how out of control I was with this health issue. At one stage, I thought I was in there for the long haul, as I didn't feel like I was getting better anytime soon. I felt like shit. Feeling insignificant and irrelevant to the scheme of things, I realised it was all completely out of my control.

This is the second single from my new concept series - working title "Politica Psycho"

This track is from a 3 EP concept project involving a psychopathic politician, conservative patriot and violent guerrilla fighter. Each track of the concept project will bring together these three characters and how they related to one another, their thoughts and rationale of their life choices. 'Deadhead Promises' highlights all the lies that are told by the psychopathic politician and the ulterior motive behind such actions.

So I watched Blade Runner 2049 again recently and decided I wanted to give it a go at making my own electronic soundscape. This is a work in progress - I might use it as a filler on my upcoming EP.
