Funkmaster Ozone was one of the very early adopters of what would one day form into modern funk & electro music. His 2007 "West Coast Pioneers" EP is a sought-after gem, highly coveted by record collectors worldwide. Whether you prefer the frenetic ticks of 808 beats and ghost-in-the-machine vocoder, or fat, gangster synth riffs with lowrider-ready talkbox refrains, the Germany native has had you covered for nearly two decades now. In fact, he's received big nods from, and collaborated with, heavy electro & funk hitters such as The Egyptian Lover & Zapp. Now he adds another notch to his belt with a new single from The Sleepers.

As with Ozone's previous releases, you will find an "E side" (electro) and a "P-side," a reference to the P-funk inspired brand of funk that he has always delivered. "Can You Feel The Heat?" sounds like it could've made it onto the "Breakin'" soundtrack, with an unmistakable aesthetic akin to 80's west coast hip hop. The flip, entitled "The Get Down," channels legends like Roger Troutman and George Clinton from right around the time he produced "Break My Heart" for Jimmy G. & The Tackheads. Now that you understand the vibe, be sure to act quickly, as this is a limited run - only 100 red vinyl 7"s pressed.
