Kicking off Poker Flat's 20th anniversary series of remixes, Tim Engelhardt drops two sublime re-interpretations of Berkson & What's classic cut Keep On featuring vocals from the legendary Robert Owens.

With a back catalogue that spans over more than 300 releases it's no surprise that many Poker Flat tracks have remained club and DJ staples to this day, so to celebrate the anniversary the label hand picked a number of key records for a remix 
treatment.

Here, Tim Englehardt launches the series in typically exemplary fashion with two intricate, emotionally-charged and utterly compelling remixes.

As one of Cologne’s youngest and brightest electronic music stars, Tim has become a key player in the Poker Flat family over the last few years, releasing a slew of incredible singles and EPs, not to mention his debut album 'Moments Of Truth' in 2017. Since then he has grown in stature to become one of the most respected producers on the circuit.

His first remix is a slow-burning, broken beat re-imagining, with gently undulating synths, dramatic chords and ethereal pads providing a hypnotic base over which Owens vocal works its magic.

With his other remix, Engelhardt retains many of the elements of the former version but this time employs a more traditional 4/4 structure, adding a slow-burning tension with dramatic pads, dreamy synth stabs and glistening keys.

Istanbul label Isolate readies its first various artist EP and unites artists such as Rafael De La Cruz, Mool, Enzo Elia and co-label founder Alican the first part of their 'Mutation' series. With his track 'Moth' Alican returns to the label after his 'Magazine' EP was released at the beginning of the year. His latest work is described as 'the march into the foggy unknown' by simply letting the darker and cosmic soundscapes mutate or rather transform to a mass that abducts and attracts nocturnal creatures in the club organism. The synth and pads are used just as much as to hint to what could possibly follow next but are not the executive force than rather the momentum for an audience to decide whether to enter the 'foggy unknown' or not. 

Isolate's EP 'Mutations 1' will be released on September 13th, 2019.

Amberoom return to TAU with three brand new tracks forming the Common Factors EP. German trio Amberoom are the first act to release two EPs with us. We loved their first release so much it was only a matter of time before we invited them back. Their enchanting productions produce moments of exhilaration, emotional presence and contemplation - as well as inspiring you to dance.

The EP begins with the title track ‘Common Factors’, a stirring journey into a spellbinding world. Using a heavy dose of melancholy, this cut really tugs on your heartstrings, encouraging you to connect with your emotional centre and letting the rising energy to whisk you away to new, undiscovered territory.

Next up is ‘Convoi’, a gnarly, avant-garde cut that feels grandiose and mystical thanks to a looming vocal that sweeps across the breadth of the track at regular intervals turning the mood ominous. The track hooks you in and refuses to relent, leaving you totally immersed in its deeply moving vibrations...

Lastly, ‘Seclusian’ is another showcase of the trio’s dexterity. This one is more uptempo, with a jaunty rhythm and scattered use of emotive pads. By the time we get to the breakdown Amberoom are at the playful peak, removing all the layers before thrusting them back to work, jabbing away at your cerebral cortex.
