After my son Goose Goszulak died I wrote lyrics I recorded vocals with my friend Jake Chaplin from Mix1mastering.com over my friend Analyst's beat from back in the day.  I wanted to pay tribute to my son and what was most important to me.  Sometimes, a son teaches a father, and that is precisely what my son continues to do.

Part of my latest album "Beyond Dubstep" which was inspired by my ex and Auguste Coleman from SLO who introduced me to dubstep a few years ago.  I use 140 BPM and different root notes with some signature dubstep "wobble bass", but not much.

My appreciation for music took off at the age of 10 when I was introduced to Classic Rock and the band "The Who".  I grew up in the grunge era listening to alt rock, punk, classic rock, jazz, blue grass, new age, classical and whatnot.  I made mixed tapes on high school trips for friends and eventually found electronic music in college and started raving at the height of the scene!  I moved to downtown San Francisco and lived to club, DJ, and party!  The Summer of 1999 was our generations "Summer of Love" 30 years later!  And SF was one of the centers of the international house and dance scene!  I DJ'd Old School Breaks like Bassbin Twins and Deep House (only because it was the thing).

I started sampling and mixing music in 1999 on ACID.  I burned out in the city and spent a year mainly sampling and mixing music from any source possible.  I began underground radio and diversified my musical tastes from downtempo, trip hop, atmospheric drum and bass, to Post Rock, Shoe Gaze, Glitch, Hip Hop, and many others.  My music production began to mature and many of my musician friends began to take notice whom I admired and respected enough to really get motivated and take it to the next level.

In 2005 I started a record label "Resonant Frequency Records" and produced music with Jake Chaplin (now of Swell music in SF).  In 2007 we released a few albums and books.  I also helped found "South Bay Live" in San Jose, Ca (a non profit under San Jose Jazz meant to enliven the south bay area live music scene) which spawned "Left Coast Live".  In 2009 I released my second book and first album "Philosopher Stoned - Recovered".

Since then I have compiled albums of unreleased material and have been inspired by Skrillex and dub-step to make mixes (www.tavius.org/music "The Hills Have Eyes"), but more importantly produce my upcoming album "Beyond Dubstep" where I explore electronic music is it is, was, and may be!  I have used a dubstep tempo of 140 BPM and some of the signature "wobble" bass but most things dubstep end there.  I have allowed my myriad and eclectic music experience and tastes to experiment in sound and music to push "Beyond Dubstep"!

I have 9 tracks in the work all 140 BPM but each is a different root note (A, B, C, D, D#, E, F, G, G#).  I have had my first track mastered by www.lastdropmastering.com "Red Pill and Blue Pill" and have been approached to do my first real music video!  I hope to shoot the video around Halloween, and release the album near the holidays 2012 before the world "ends" ; )
