Interview with Danny aka TK Anderson - DJ & Producer - Based in Antwerp, Belgium   

What got you captivated on Electronic Music - When and How?
-When I was 16 years old in 1990, I got hooked on Electronic Music, and I started going out clubbing and also visiting Record Shops in Antwerp. 

How did you get started as a DJ?
-After purchasing only a few records, I bought my first decks and DJ mixer to spin the records. All early 90's techno.

When did you start to Produce your own music and what equipment do you usually work with when creating beats?
-I began producing 10 years ago with many pauses plus ups and downs…  Ableton / VCV Rack / Reason is what I use when I make Music.

Has your Music style changed over time and how?
-As I always was a fan of techno, I also explored more hard styles within this area. Besides this I’m also a big fan of deep house.

What are your favorite and least favorite parts of working with Sound Art?
-Creating sounds and jamming is my passion ... Socials are not 

I'm glad you’re focusing on creating music. What is the flavor of the mix you're giving us here - what were your thoughts?
-I wanted to play good sounding techno. These days there is just too much music and it's hard to find really good stuff. 

I see your point and Thank you for your fine selection! What's the background story about your moniker name - TK Anderson?
-The first two letters referring to my Twin sons. Anderson - is close to the Dutch word “andersom”, which means vice versa. You don’t wanna put one before the other.

That's so sightful.. love it. Can you, please, mention anything about upcoming releases?
-I have an upcoming release on Deeptakt Records with VA; Alison Belle / Oliver Kalte / Taka Muza. This track on this EP is titled "Umbaba'' and it’s a more minimal sounding techno track. I also got EP releases this summer at two Belgian labels; Dark Distorted Signals and Bunk3R Records. More info will come.
