Vertical City explores the auditory experiences, both mundane and essential to the emerging urban city life of Kolkata. It creates mental images of the city through fragmented sonic experiences gathered from a repository of a complex sound world deeply synchronized with our everyday life.

Suman Samajpati & Sourav Roy Chowdhury have been working collaboratively as ‘TAXI’ since 2007. TAXI employs photography, hand-painted photography, video and sound as the forms of their visual expression.They are based in Kolkata, India.
