I made these tracks in 2008 and 2009.
My goal was to create an album solely with the Korg DS-10, so without any sampling or use of my computer at all.
The tracks were all played 'live' and recorded in one take. The album should have been longer but the program crashed on me and I didn't have the motivation to go on.

姉さん、事件です！

今年のカバー曲によるテーマソングは、にゃにゃんがプー feat. ほうのきかずなり(禁断の多数決)『フロイドと夜桜(菊地成孔 feat. 岩沢瞳)』ですよ〜！みんなで聴いて、ファンシーショップあひる展を盛り上げよう！

これはオリジナルミックスで、これから僕や、有名じゃないけど面白い人のリミックスを発表していきますのでお楽しみに。あひる展の当日には過去のテーマソング音源の無料配布もあります。

このテーマソングという考え方は、2015年の田島ハルコさんの『東京は夜の七時(ピチカートファイヴcover)』2016年のるんげさんの『月世界旅行(戸川純のユニット アポジー＆ベリジーcover)』と続いてきました。

初めからカバー曲で3部作というコンセプトにしようと思っていたので、このシリーズは今回でいったん終わりです。田島さんとるんげさんに関しては、まず、歌う人を決めてからふさわしいであろう楽曲を考えるスタイルでやりました(月世界旅行は実は未完成なのでなんとかします…)

それで、今回はなんだろうな〜といつもながらぼんやりしていたところ、過去のテーマソングからは渋谷系ムーブメントの代表的なものや、その先祖(？)みたいなものが共通点として感じられました。そこで今回は3部作の最後なので、いわゆる「*渋谷系の終わり」のものにしようと思ったのです。

*諸説ありますが、2004年のスパンクハッピーから岩沢瞳が脱退したタイミングが気分的には合っているというのが定説です。

テーマソングが決まるのと同時に、今回のデュエット的な曲を歌ってもらう2人がほぼ迷いなく頭に思い浮かびました。まず、メインで歌うのは静岡の一人テクノポップのにゃプさん、そして、お相手は禁断の多数決のほうのきさんだな！と強く思いました。

この時点では僕はお二人とは面識はなかったですが、もうこれしかないと思いました。

まず、オリジナルと男女のポジションが逆になっていること。これは2004年と2017年の割と色々な状況を表せていると思います。また、この話は長くなっちゃうので割愛しますが、渋谷系ムーブメントが散り散りになったり組み合わさったりしてできたのがバンド相対性理論であるとしたら、その効果がハッキリと薄れるのがわかった3/11以降に姿を現してきたのが禁断の多数決だったりすることも大いに関連しています。

他にも理由は色々あります。小西→菊地ラインのキザでおちゃめで映画好きで物知りな男性ラインの現代版にほうのきさんが位置していること。にゃプさんのライブのレパートリーに『フロイドと夜桜』があったこと。なども挙げられますが、いわゆるフックアップの逆が起こってもいいんじゃないかとか、これは一般的なミスコンとかを揶揄してるわけじゃないんですが、たまにはいつもは仕掛け人側の人を愛情を持って選んじゃおう！みたいな実験でもあります。

こんな感じでまだまだ書き足りないんですが、疲れちゃったので今日はこのへんで。とにかくなかなか良い組み合わせなのでご愛聴ください〜〜
