TechSafari Records are proud to presenting you the first episode from the new dj mixing series of the label, head honcho of Techsafari records DJ  Rikam takes control the first episode with some of his favorite ones, enjoy.

DJ Rikam has been a leading DJ in the Canadian psytrance scene for over two decades. He has been passionate about electronic music and psytrance culture for over 30 years. 

Through all these various experiences in the electronic music industry and psytrance culture, DJ Rikam has played in several festivals and events in several countries such as Brazil, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, United States, Mexico, Morocco, Thailand, India [Goa], Panama, Nepal and Canada. His musical selection, his intensity and his long performances behind the decks have always earned him the label of an audience favorite and still remain a staple of the North American psytrance scene.

Aio” (Io), inarguably, is the volcanic master of our solar system. Her internal heat is generated by a mechanism known as tidal heating. Jupiter’s immense gravitational pull, amplified by two other moons, tears Aio’s innards apart, turning solid rock into molten magma which erupts spectacularly on her surface, producing eruption plumes that reach higher than Mount Everest. 
The “Aio” of planet earth is a young and fiery globetrotting forest-darkpsy dj, producer and promoter living in the frozen city of Montreal, Canada. Having had a rich musical background, “Aio” is bringing a new level of quality and heat to her dance floors worldwide. She strings together music to create an inner dialogue that she then humbly presents to her crowd. Every show is a unique experience deserving of its own story and by selecting the richest and most notable music, she is able to relentlessly keep her dance floor on fire till the early hours of the morning.
In Montreal, “Aio” has taken also taken an active leadership role in contributing to the community by hosting her own high quality psychedelic parties with her event production collective. Each event is geared towards helping encourage the psychedelic community in getting proactive and involved in local community projects and discourages passive and mindless consumerism. She has hosted international acts on her stages including Twisted Kala (Portugal), Mind Distortion System (Belgium), Sishiva (Greece), Naima (Austria), Reflection (Australia), Bwoy De Bhajan (Denmark), Daksinamurti (Germany), Kabayun (USA), Whitebear (Australia, Dela Moontribe (USA), Nibana (France) and many many more. With full throttle enthusiasm and adrenaline, she continues on her journey of bringing people together under the premise that we all work in symbiosis to strengthen our community.

Tay believes that trance music is more than just a genre it's about a journey through a wide spectrum of Electronic Dance Music. This journey captures attention and cultivates a 'trancelike' state in the minds of the audience. Tay strives with professionalism to create this magical atmosphere with his personal DJ Sets, Podcasts and Live Performances.

Tay's musical focus is within the underground variations of Trance incorporating elements of progressive house, techno and psychedelic and tech trance . His fascination with Electronic Dance Music started at a young age when he first heard the sounds of his early influences including Paul Oakenfold, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Sasha, John Digweed and Gatecrasher Compilations. Later on moving into the Hard House and Hard Trance genres drawing inspiration from Artists such as Lisa Lashes, Tidy Boys, DJ Dean, Gary D and Anne Savage. The desire for more refined trance mixed with a harder edged sound lead Tay right to psychedelic trance which now largely shapes his DJ sets and Live Performances. 

Tay has been the opening and closing act for the following artists throughout BC and Alberta:
