Nhobdy acquired his first guitar from his uncle circa Christmas of 2003. The first songs He learned to play were Enter Sandman and Hey Joe... Kirk Hammett was his inspiration back then. Nhobdy learned as much Metallica as he could, constantly daydreaming about shredding the solos in Call of Cthulu on stage. Throughout his younger years, Nhobdy would sing along with the Beatles but never really considered himself to be much of a singer. That all changed around 2012, as he watched a recording of an old Alice in Chains concert. Layne Stayley blew Nhobdy's mind. After that, he discovered that he could sing along with a lot of Alice in Chains. Not too long after that he began experimenting with songwriting. Nhobdy had always loved listening to music and jamming on his guitar but was discovering an altogether different kind of joy in creating his own unique sound. The first song written by Nhobdy was initially dubbed "Prototype" and would later come to be known as "Sad Dream". He has been writing ever since. According to Nhobdy, "Seems as though with every passing day, with every song I write, I become a little more passionate about my craft. There is just something about it. A certain energy that passes through my body, out of the instrument and into the world. Nothing is more satisfying than watching peoples faces as I play a song and knowing that I've affected them with my vibrations. I've fallen in love with music and performing. Nothing else matters anymore... it has all become a means to that end." Such passionate words, spoken by a passionate man.
