After fronting Delta Spirit for the last decade, Matthew Logan Vasquez decided it was finally time to try out his solo side.  Not that he has any plans of leaving the band, but 2016 finds him reflecting back on his life, what it’s all meant, and where it’s lead, in Solicitor Returns, his debut LP under his own name.  Themes that wouldn’t have worked as well with the other guys a part of it.  This is dominantly his own story, his own statement.

All music is 100% written and recorded by me. I use Ableton live and so far I only use real instruments, an Ibanez and Epiphone Les Paul, Squier Fender Classic Vibe 60's, Peavey Bass with various effects ofcourse. 

Started playing the guitar when I was 16 (I sold a whole my Star Wars collection to buy one lol) and have been playing for over 10 years now. I've been in a few bands but over time I've slowly moved solo to focus on instrumental music, as it resonates a lot more with me. Through the past year and a half I have written/recorded/mastered 40 original tracks with each one being around 3 minutes on average. My music really isn't stock background music, it has a unique style that has a true soul to it. Unlike a lot of people I record everything on physical instruments and rely on effects to promote the mood..My music isn't stock/generic music but I do realize there is a time and place for generic music especially when you don't want the music to over shine the actors voices and vice-versa.
